As above. I was really impressed with how good Sabina was. A few vets I've been to in the past at a different practice just care about the money and not the animal but I can honestly say Sabina was brilliant. She checked my rabbit over and even went through how to administer the medication as I had been struggling to do it. She is a excellent vet and clearly loves animals. She also said the nurses would help me with the medication if was having problems. This is in my opinion what being a vet is all about. I can't say enough good things about her! Thanks Again.

Jose is experienced, skilled, kind and balanced in his view about treatment options at all times. His team are also very kind and thorough. We registered about 11 years ago and the service provided is fabulous. When there are delays it is due to emergencies which is fine as when we have an emergency they prioritise our little lovelies! We have had wonderful end of life care for our last dog, care for a cat with no lives left (!) and various visits for our two Yorkies. I would highly recommend. There is such a genuine passion to care for your pets.

Jose is the most amazing vet in the world! He is kind, knowledgeable, patient and nurturing. We have taken numerous hamsters and rabbits to him over the years, and he has always shown extraordinary care and genuine passion to heal our pets or at least give them a good quality of life. The latest example of this is Harvey rabbit. Having seen Harvey on three occasions and managing to make him better, on this last occasion we thought maybe it might be time to say goodbye. But Jose wouldn't give up, was fully aware of his history, and had faith that he might get better. If not, he was satisfied that he wasn't in pain and was being looked after properly. Two weeks later, and Harvey is practically good as new! We are over the moon and can't thank Jose enough for not giving up, having patience with his progress back to good health, and also, for advising us not to pay out for procedures that weren't necessary. A true animal professional and a great credit to Companion Care. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank reception staff and nurses, all of whom tried their best to find appointments in an emergency and who are kind and compassionate also. I would highly recommend this practice!

I visited the vets for an annual vaccination appointment the other morning and after my experience will not be returning again. The 10am appointment began after being called in at 10.25am, it proceeded with NO apology given for the lateness of the appointment and a very bad customer experience due to the continued rudeness and bad attitude from the vet we were seeing. The vet completed the relevant checks required prior to the vaccinations being given, gave the vaccinations, asked me if I wanted the vaccination card signed (surely this is done as a matter of course), I then left extremely angry but of course lets NOT forget I had to PAY my bill on leaving as I am the PAYING CUSTOMER. Although my visit was fit for purpose ie I got what I went for ( as it has been with previous visits I have made ), the customer service was appalling ( the customer service had been better in past visits but I believe that there have been changes to the practice ) and did not instill any confidence that most importantly my dog or myself will be treated in the best possible way on further visits and or with a serious situation. I have decide that I will take my dog back to my original vet which is a 20 minute drive away ( I can currently walk to Companion care, hence the change of vets) and is also slightly more expensive but it is professional and caring which in turn inspires confidence that they will look after my dog and myself well.
Vet ResponseWe are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your recent experience at our practice. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you in person and therefore we ask that you contact the practice directly so that we may fully investigate your complaint.

We rushed our 3yo Golden Retriever into the vets in an emergency - he was struggling to breathe. We were seen straight away. Jose and his team dealt with the situation professionally, calmly and efficiently. We were extremely impressed with the care they provided; they saved our dog's life. The reception staff were brilliant too - so helpful and friendly. They helped to keep us going in what was a very stressful time. I would not hesitate in recommending this practice.

We have been going to Companion Care in Basingstoke for 7 years and our dogs love the vets there. You can't get better acknowledgment that than

I cant speak highly enough of Jose and his staff. All were extremely helpful and friendly. Billy loves coming back here which to me speaks volumes especially as he has had a couple of operations but still walks in with his tail wagging non stop and eager to see all. After having a few bad experiences with Vets in Portsmouth, i choose to drive all the way to Basingstoke to see Jose and his team as the care is second to none and would recommend without hesitation to any pet owner.
