Our cat Troy AKA Catzie recently passed as a result of aortic thromboembolism. The team at Goddard's Kennington was extremely professional and sensitive putting the well-being of our cat first and at the same time being concerned for us. They were all dedicated, friendly and most importantly caring and respectful towards our cat. Many thanks - much appreciated! Conrad & Gavin

I can't thank Goddards and vet Anna Minoli enough. Being new to puppy life and living on my own I've found it a baptism of fire but Goddards have looked after me all the way and are giving me the confidence I need to make sure my puppy is well developed and cared for.

Anna Minoli, the vet on duty, welcomed us and our dog Juno after she got injured in a fight with a fox. Fantastic care and attention from Anna in all respects, she was extremely thorough and professional. But the lovliest thing was how Anna made the visit so personal - Juno normally hates vets (she is a rescue dog) but Anna has a magic touch and was as charming with Juno as she was with us, the owners. She followed up our visit with a personal email remembering all family member names (!!) with advice on after care and teeth cleaning. I have had animals for over 25 years and Anna is quite the lovliest vet I have come across in all that time. A special lady . We will definitely sign up with her as our regular vet now we are back in London. Thank you Anna!

I'd just like to say thank you to Goddard for your help with my dog Nancy this week. At about midnight Nancy had an allergic reaction to something and her face became swollen, lumpy, itchy & very uncomfortable. Not knowing what was happening in rang you & got the number for Stone Lion hospital whilst my partner tried to comfort Nancy. The vet on the phone reassured me & directed me to give her 2 Piriton tablets & explained how they would work & what to expect. Nancy became more comfortable within the hour & the swelling stopped growing. By the following evening all the swelling had gone down & she was back to herself. So: Thank you for your brilliant service, it's so reassuring knowing that I can speak to someone anytime of day or night.

My wife ( Dawn ) and I have been visiting Roger Irish and the team at Goddards, Kennington for the last 17 + years when we were lucky enough to find a handsome male tabby cat at Battersea Dogs and Cats home. Bertie has had a few problems and scrapes over the years and the treatment from Roger and his team at Goddards has always been caring and top class. At the moment Bertie is terminally ill with Mammary gland cancer but the trauma of this has been eased by the care of Roger and Jodie who are very understanding of the role and importance of pets in family life. Roger has medicated Bertie for Kidney and Thyroid problems for many years and I am sure that he has had a lot to do with Berties longevity- He is now approaching his 18th birthday. I can't speak too highly of Roger and know that when time finally catches up with Bertie, his end will be dignified and he will be treated with love and care by all the team at Goddards Kennington When we decide to have adopt another cat or maybe two in the future, we will undoubtedly be continuing to use Goddards Kennington for all our Veterinary needs.

Goddard Vet has been taking care of my 2 kittens for 1 year. All the nurses are very friendly, polite and extremely helpful. Roger is always calm, professional and enthusiastic. I would definitely recommend Goddard for everyone I know.

I took my rabbit to the Kennington Goddard Vets after explaining the symptoms on the phone to the staff. When I arrived for the appointment the vet showed very little interest in my rabbit straight away and told me she was a dog and cat vet and could not give me any advice other than tell me to go to see an exotic specialist vet who might be able to help. She did not offer any other information spontaneously and was abrupt when I tried asking further questions. I expressed how annoyed I was that I was not told there wouldn't be a vet able to review my rabbit properly dispite me explaining the symptoms on the phone. When I left I was given a bill of £70 for the consultation and for anti inflammatories, which I had to push for. I will never bring my rabbit to this surgery that claim to work with rabbits. They are completely incompetent and unprofessional. I am very angry and feel like I have been ripped off! I advise everyone to stay clear and seek surgeries that have a vet who is accredited by the rabbit welfare association.

Vet Response

I was very sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction when meeting our locum vet. The appointment was accepted as it was hoped that we would be able to treat any lameness and because it would be impossible to make any diagnosis over the telephone, however, during your 30 minute consultation it became evident to the vet that there appeared to be neurological issues and that a referral to a specialist was indicated. Pain relief medication can hinder findings during the examination of an animal and so your rabbit was sufficiently medicated with an anti-inflammatory injection before leaving us. I do hope that the outcome for your rabbit was favourable

Hi there, I have been using this vets now for the last 7 years for all three of my cats. they are always there for helpful advice and also very good at getting to the roots of the problems quickly. They deal with my insurance claims which is very helpful and prices are very reasonable. Would highly recommend

My greyhound was very frightened of vets, but has improved hugely thanks to the calmness and kindness of the vets here. They are always helpful and professional and go the extra mile. The surgery is bright, clean and airy - highly recommend.
