I would like to thank Jamie and the nurses for all the care and help they have given my dogs and rabbits over the years especialy Kerry my Border collie bitch, and for working around my personal circumstances, nothing is ever to much trouble for these ladies, they don't give upon an animal and do all they can no matter what. Thank you ladies keep up the good work.

I have never had to go to the vets other than for yearly boosters for my cats but unfortunately I had to go a couple of weeks back due to my 1 year old cat peppa being very poorly , Jamie rang me with updates as soon as she knew and unfortunately I was told peppa has cancer, Jamie was very supportive throughout this and upto when I had to let her go and even after - excellent understanding and service

Jamie treated our beloved Murphy and was very supportive and spent time with me when it came to making the final decision. She was compassionate and even talked through the rollercoaster of emotions that I would go through. When we got yogi there was no hesitation as to where we would go. All the staff at abbeycroft are wonderful and welcoming and always make a fuss.

I have shown and bred golden retrievers for 20 years. We moved to Northwich area over 10years ago and luckily discovered Jamie at Beechcroft Surgery who we followed to Willows and then Abbeycroft WE had a goldie who seemed to have cancer of the jaw.The only treatment was partial removal of his jaw. We couldn t accept such drastic treatmenf and Jamie accepted our decision. When the time came for Hector to go Jamie came to our home and Hector was put to sleep in a stress free way. We now are awaiting surgery for his sister and we have every faith in Jamie and so do the dogs.Thank you Jamie and Fred (rabbit) says thank you too Marcia, Victor and Willow.

Our dog Toby had an eventful year last year which ended up in more visits then I would like to the vets but each time the staff have been amazing to Toby and us. Explaining everything so we knew where we were up to and being at the end of the phone when we needed to ask that quick question.

Penny a small jack Russell diagnosed with kennel cough was refused antibiotics till the next day due to my friend having forgot her credit card so she paid twenty pounds cash and had to return the next day with the bal of 28 so the poor dog had to wait till the next day to start the treatment money before the care of a pet

Vet Response

It is always difficult when someone goes to a vet without any means of payment. Once we have done the consultation we have already incurred costs and if someone says they have no means of paying for the consultation we can't really then let them take medication away. Vets need to charge for their services and products and pet owners know that there will be a charge. We would not discharge an animal if they were suffering and so Penny was given a pain relief and anti-inflammatory injection-which wasn't paid for. There was no stipulation from us that the owner had to wait a day to come back and pay for the medication, they are local and could have nipped back in within the hour.

I have been with Abbeycroft vets for almost 11 years now. The care that all the staff have given to my animals and to me as a worried parent has always been first class. I would have no hesitation in recommending the services to any animal owner who asked. Jamie Peloso the vet at Abbeycroft is amazingly caring and is always happy to explain everything to you. The nurses also provide the best care and are very knowledgable and happy to help and advise. Also the fact that Abbeycroft is part of the Willows group means that there is also excellent emergency out of hours care and they have specialist vet resources to call upon at the Willows in Hartford. Thank you to everyone at Abbeycroft for the care you have provided to date and will continue to do so going forward.

My dog, an 8 year old french bulldog, was undergoing very detailed eye treatment for an ulcer at a specialist eye vet centre, when he developed heamatomas in both his ears. We were unhappy with our current vets and so went to Jamie at Abbey Croft on a recommendation. She managed to see us the very same day we rang up and treated my dog that day. What I liked was the fact that she conversed with the eye vet before she proceeded with any treatment as to make sure her treatment didn't affect the healing process for the eye. She diligently managed to fix the ears without causing any contradictions with the eye. Her manner was competant and welcoming and I cannot recommend her more highly.
