\n My dear cat Fyodor has been very ill with lymphoma and has been treated at another Goddards branch. Despite best efforts from the excellent vet there and ourselves (and Fyo) he very sadly failed to respond to treatment and became incontinent and was losing weight rapidly and I made the heartbreaking decision to let him go. Regretfully, my own vet was on a course and I didn't want to see a locum we didn't know, though I do not for one second doubt their ability, and that is where the wonderful Karen Edwards at Barking branch came to our rescue yet again. She helped us under similar circumstances last year with our dog and we knew she possessed the correct balance of kindness, empathy and professionalism. How grateful we are to her. She was so very kind and reassuring to Fyo and to us and made a very distressing and difficult time just that little bit less so. She talked us through what would happen in a calm and reassuring manner and confirmed to us that we were doing the right and kindest thing for Fyo whilst at the same time acknowledging our grief and how hard it was for me, in particular, to let him go. She was respectful towards Fyo at all stages of the procedure, which was mercifully quick and painless. You have a little gem in this vet..don't let her go. Thank you Karen. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n \n
