We had to make the unexpected decision to have Rory our much loved cat put to sleep. Adele at Acorn was amazing, so kind and sympathetic at a very difficult time for our family. She helped to make a very difficult decision a little easier and we know that we did the right thing and can treasure the happy memories of having 7 years with Rory.

I took rory to another vets to start with but then we moved and he came to acorns. The team that run the practice from reception to vets are fabulous. Such a nice vibe up there. To me they have a genuine love/care for animals and an empathy for the owners and the special bond they share with their animal friends.

We were made to feel welcome on arrival and enjoyed waiting in the cat friendly area. Sheldon was very gentle with LouLou and she was very pleased to see him. He was able to assess her quickly and organized her next appointment himself. The receptionists wanted to know how she was and spoke to her before we left. There is a lovely atmosphere at this surgery and all the humans and most of the animals are happy to be there.

I always recommend them as the care and treatment they give animals is outstanding. Everyone who works there are lovely.

At Acorn vets you are welcomed with a smile and such friendliness it's just like having an extended family. The staff all share our ups and downs, our joys and our sorrows when it comes to our pets. They have looked after 12 pets for us, 2 guinea pigs, 1 hamster, 3 cheeky westies and 6 mischievous rabbits. Vet Katherine has been helping us with behaviour issues which are working well and ran a fireworks and pets course which helped us all get through. They are there 24/7 and even notice when the pet you brought to visit isn't actually yours!

I recently had to have my cat put to sleep and just wanted to say that the service we received was second to none. The staff from the receptionists to the vets are fantastic. They showed kindness and compassion to both my cat and myself. I would highly recommend them.
