Neil has looked after Rosie (an American Akita) and Koko (a long haired Japanese Akita) throughout their happy lives with us. We couldn't ask for a better service. Alden & Susan

This is a brilliant vets practice. Neil has always given my dog the best of care and I can't fault them in terms of clinical practice and overall care. It would be 5 stars all round but unfortunately, one of the newer receptionists really let's this practice down. Having spoken to her on the phone, I found her to be abrupt and really unprofessional e.g., shouting and then putting the phone down mid sentence. Meeting her in person was just as bad, she was argumentaitve and appeared to have very little skill in customer care.
Vet ResponseDear Debbie Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our Chapel Allerton clinic and for your lovely comments about our clinical care. Neil and the team will be really pleased to hear this. We are very sorry to hear that our recent customer service did not meet with your expectations. As a practice, we pride ourselves on providing the very best care to our clients and their pets, and we always appreciate any feedback that might help us to achieve this. We would be very grateful if you could email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, so that we can discuss this further and hopefully address your concerns. Kind regards, Beechwood Vets

A couple of weeks ago I had to visit the branch on Chapeltown Road as my fathers dog was not in a good way. The vet he saw was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable. We were happy with the diagnosis and treatment and my dads dog has recovered well. My only complaint is regarding the receptionist who was not as professional as the vet. She was eating throughout our wait to see a vet and also answered a call on a mobile phone (which interrupted us been served). As a receptionist myself (although not in a veterinary surgery) I would not dream of doing this in front of customers.
Vet ResponseThank you for taking the time to review our surgery at Chapletown Road and your kind words regarding our veterinary surgeon. I am happy to hear that your father’s dog has recovered well. I am very sorry that you did not receive the professional service from our receptionist. We constantly train our receptionists and will discuss with them what you have very kindly brought to our attention.

I would like to thank everyone in Beechwood Veterinary - Chapel Allerton Surgery for the way they have been handling my cat. She was neutralized recently and she was fine the very next day. My cat is not very friendly, but she got instantly close to the vet who took care of her. She was not traumatized after her surgery and now she is never scared when we go there for vaccines. Everyone was nice and friendly, the ladies at the reception are very helpful. The place is very clean, despite pets being there all day long and the prices are reasonable. I pondered a long time before choosing a practice and i think i made the perfect choice for my pet.

My very young puppy was recently unwell, Beechwood we're amazing in caring for my pet. They were flexible and offered an appointment to suit our needs. The vet (Neil) showed the up most care and expect treating my pup and gave lots of useful advice of what to look out for. The reception staff are always very friendly and show a genuine interest in your animal. I have also had a pup that was diagnosed with chronic renal failure at approx 6 months old. Beechwood guided me through his treatment which meant he lived to a grand old age of 5 years when his life expectancy was much less. In his final months there was lots of support and he was treated with the up most dignity. I would not go anywhere else, excellent veterinary service

We were told about Beechwood when our original vet practice closed down. We have had nothing but the best service in all the years we have been using them. We have had three dogs and four cats of our own plus three of my sons we adopted using Beechwood. Further supported by the ability to use the Crossgates Branch as well if needed. Ok Neil, we agree with the other reviews, you are the best! Special mention for the ladies on the front desk who are always helpful.
