I would like to thank Fiona and the staff at the vets when I had the sad task to take my old cat to be put to sleep. All concerned were so kind and caring ...and my cat had never been so calm. They made this ordeal much easier for me and I even had a lovely condolence card the following week. I would recommend this practice wholeheartedly.

Vet Response

That’s so kind of you to even think of us at a time like this – thank you so much for sharing these kind words, it will mean a lot to the team to know they made the worst day even a little bit more bearable for you.

During my old friends final declining year, Bobby fought for my little man. He made me feel as though Seth was his absolute priority, and me. When it came to the decision we all dread, Bobby was kindness itself and my dog had a peaceful and respectful passing. All of the other staff I had dealings with were lovely too; the other vets, nurses and receptionists. Thankyou

Vet Response

We shared this with the team today and they were taken aback that you took the time to share such kind words, at such a difficult time. We're so glad they did you and Seth proud when you needed it most, thank you.

After an operation that had caused so many problems from a previous vet . My dog was scared and started to get snappy . Now with companion care I have my dog back . He has all his confidence back , very grateful to the vet he seen the other day .

Vet Response

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this feedback - it's put a smile on a lot of faces this morning! You are so welcome, and any time you want to pop by for a little desensitisation, there are always treats on the reception desk!

My dogs have always had good treatment here but I feel some improvements could be made. This surgery could be better if the practice was not right at the back of Pets at Home. Maybe a move to the position of the Grromers would be better also the practice could have a direct acces for animals that are really poorly.

Vet Response

The good news is that we do have direct and discreet access at the rear of the surgery for those who need it - just let our friendly receptionists know if you'd prefer to avoid walking through the store. Thank you for your kind review - we're really pleased that our team have taken great care of your dogs!

Have used this vets now for a while, can't fault, values always the same, what's best for pet first, always great on reception area, welcoming, vet always go's through option ,or ruling out want could causes problems, nurses great very caring to you and most of all your pet, always told of what is happening though day if pet in,as my dog Gracie need to have some blood tests done , was very happy after test taken, eg was happy to be around nurses and staff after being in , not I really want to get out of here now, please to see us thou, but didn't seem to think of it as a bad experience afterwards, thank-you very much for making Gracie feel relaxed, this is a second to none practice, many thanks again to the staff and management for keeping up these standards.

We have been taking our dogs to this practice for 4 years even though we live miles away because we trust them with our precious cavaliers. We have had 6 cavaliers, all rescue, in that time and they have had a number of health issues and we have lost 3 of them eventually We have always been given a great deal of support and we cannot fault the team and their professionalism. They always take their time and give plenty of advice when needed. I have great confidence in using this practice and cannot thank them enough.

Having not needed the service of a vet for some time I needed an urgent appointment as my elderly hamster had developed a large growth. I chose Companion Care as they seemed to be a large practice with good reviews, and I'm glad that I did. As I had feared, my hamster had to be put to sleep, which is never easy, but the vet couldn't have been kinder or more respectful to me or my hamster. While price isn't the main consideration at a time like that I felt that the price was reasonable and probably a little less than I expected.

They're open when I need them after work or on the weekend and always on hand for a bit of advice. Spot on!

I was first introduced to this practice through their free microchipping for dogs scheme and was slightly hesitant about going to a "big-name, chain" vets but I needn't have been - you really get the individual, personalised care you'd associate more with a privately run vets just with the value for money only larger companies can offer. The reception staff recognise all my dogs by name if we stop by and show genuine caring and interest in how they're doing.

I can only comment on Robert White - Adams, who i first met when he worked in Bristol. I have several cats who are all treated as part of the family, and spoiled like part of the family too. I still live in Bristol, but i went to see Robert in Dec 2013 for a second opinion. My oldest cat had a growth in his lower jaw. My local vet had quoted a large amount of money for diagnostic tests. I wasn't wholly happy so i arranged an appointment with Robert, 30 miles from my home. As you can imagine, travelling with a sick animal is bad enough when you are only a few miles from home, but i have always trusted Robert, and he was the only person I could depend on to treat us with respect. Robert managed to give me 3 precious more weeks with my cat after removing his teeth so he was out of pain (which was most important) The tumour in his jaw would need to be removed and he would not have been able to eat afterwards for the rest of his life. So i would need to let him go peacefully. He saved me paying a huge amount of money having a diagnosis that would have the same outcome. Robert knew it was hard news, to know that my cat would have to be PTS in the near future, but he got my cat out of pain, my family over the Xmas period and i think nearly as sad as we were. Those 3 extra weeks i had with my cat were treasured and he was thoroughly spoiled. I let him go gently to sleep on New Years day. Although this practice is 30 miles awy, its the only vets I will use.
