You spend a lot of money trying to give your pet the best care you can keeping them healthy and well and all that you ask if the vet can spare just 5 minutes of his all so precious time to inform you of your dog blood test results instead you have to keep ringing just to try and get an answer and all you get is their busy get them you call you back ! never happens!
Vet ResponseWe apologise that you have found it difficult to speak to a vet regarding your dogs blood test. If you could please phone the surgery directly then we can get some more information from you and perhaps see where problems have arisen preventing this contact and hopefully look into how we can help to prevent these problems again in the future.

Haven't been with Eastgate for long as not long ago moved to the area but I've had such a great experience each time. Yesterday I took my dog in for eye surgery, the vet went through with me what they'd do (which they'd already done, but was nice that they made sure I was ok with it all) and he was given lots of attention. I got a text message to let me know how he was doing and then picked him up in the afternoon. Nurse took me through how he'd got on, what to expect, to call if I need anything and book post op check. I've just received a call from them to ask how he's doing which is really lovely. My previous vet didn't do this after surgery. I think it's such good practice as it can be really worrying taking home a pet after surgery. I'm really impressed with them, nothing is too much trouble for them :)

Over the years we have visited the Thetford surgery with various, much loved pets and they have been marvellous. Yesterday my beautiful cat Kizzy was in for dental work and as she hasn't been away from me since she was 6 months old, I was worried. The nurse who admitted her put me at ease and was lovely. She came through it well and this morning is a pain free, happy cat again. A different cat! Thank you all so much.

Since joining this practice i have always felt that my dogs have all been treated in a caring & professional manner. I do like the fact that you can request a certain vet which means that the vet gets to know you & your animal as he/she sees you all the time. For me it is most important to come away after visiting the vet & trusting that everything possible has been done for your pet whatever the outcome.I like the way that if your pet is admitted you are given regular updates & also that you can call for an update or info & not feel that you are being a nuisance. also important is that the vet will explain your pets problem too you in an easy to understand way. I also feel the charges are fair . you have to pay for expertise. The nurses Ive met are all very helpful & friendly as are the receptionists. All in all I feel myself & my pets receive 5 star treatment
