I always feel as though my cat is so well looked after at Goddards, all the staff are so friendly and kind (to both me and the cat!) It's great to be able to discuss all my questions and get thorough, interested advice and feedback. Thanks so much! Amy and Wren

The is first time I had brought Elvis, my Daucshund, Jack Russell cross to the vet so he was happily unaware. When he did realise he was to be examined he decided to let us know what he thought about this all became scared and extremely loud and barky. Klaartje and her team were wonderful with him, they popped a muzzle on him which helped and got on with the examination. I felt very confident in their approach to Elvis and myself and the respect we were shown and would happily recommend them for your pets.

The staff here are some of the best I've seen, but just something to be aware of: be careful of how they drive up the price. This time, it was my dog's booster injections. They added another £15 to the price they'd quoted me for a kennel cough vaccination that I didn't want, and the first I found out about it was when I was invoiced after the fact. The time before it was £45 for a tick medication for a specific type of tick that isn't found where I live, and they also gave a really hard sell (adding it to my invoice after I'd said twice I don't want it) on £50 worth of Feliway products this week. It's by far the best vet I've been to, but I feel like they play on how much we love our pets by giving them medication they don't need just so they can up sell. Just be careful and be firm when saying no!
Vet ResponseJeremy Robinson, General Manager replies: Firstly, thank you for the generally kind comments that you have made. I am sorry that you feel there may have been attempts to sell products that you do not need and am glad of an opportunity to address and clarify on this. Following the conversation you had with our nurse on behavioural issues it was recommended that Feliway would assist your cat to be more relaxed at home. The matter was concluded though the next day when you indicated that you did not want the product and so obviously, no charge was made for it. With regards to the advice on tick prevention, it was at a time when there had been an outbreak of Babesiosis, a serious disease spread by ticks, in the Harlow area .There are genuine reasons for concern that this disease, and the ticks which transmit, it may become more widespread in the Epping Forest area and elsewhere in the UK. In such circumstances, it would have been remiss not to give you such advice . Our vet who saw your dog for the vaccinations felt that the consultation went very well and that you were receptive to recommendations such as that Kennel Cough protection was worth having when a dog is going to be involved with a lot of socialising or likely to go into kennels or a sitters. I am sorry if we have appeared pushy in any way but out staff were merely giving the best available advice. I hope that I have allayed any fears that we would ever prescribe unneeded medication.

I have been taking my 2 ragdolls to Goddard Vet in walthamstow since I got them. The vets and all the staff are excellent and make what is always quite a stressful trip much less so. Their genuine love of animals really comes across and I have no hesitation in whole heartedly recommending them

Little Gina my dog had dental surgery a few weeks ago. Both in the run-up to the surgery and in the aftercare all the staff have been very helpful and made both me & Gina feel at ease. The various procedures Gina would undergo were thoroughly explained and I felt she was really being cared for.

Goddards Grove road has been our vets for many years. We have a lovely vet Klaartje. She is a fantastic vet and easy to talk to and our nurses always take time to come out to say hello to Katie our Cavalier. Can not recommend Grove road highly enough.

I've just returned from a (long-overdue) visit to my local (Walthamstow, E17) branch of Goddard's; and, while my cat, Coquette (a diminutive tortoiseshell) didn't much enjoy the journey thither (by car), she started purring while the Locum Vet - a nice young lady named Amanda - was palpating her! All very satisfactory. Miaow.

Dolly, Nelson and I were so impressed by our first visit today. The kittens had their vaccinations without a murmur and were thoroughly spoilt with treats. We look forward to coming back for their next check up. Many thanks to Klaartje and Lorna for looking after us so well!

The whole team at Walthamstow are always fabulous. They are always helpful, kind and professional. We were worried when Amy left, but we adore Klaartje. We cats rarely have anything good to,say about a trip to the v e t but We must admit that Goddards Walthamstow always looks after us supremely. We would like to give a special purr to Lorna and one for Klaartje. Thank you
