Our Daisy was very precious to the family and the vets did everything they could to keep her going, but when we realised that the kindest thing for her was to end her suffering Caron was brilliant at helping us to face the situation. Thanks to you all. John and Gay Funnell

Vet Response

Thank you so much for your kind words at this very sad time for you both. With best wishes, Hannah and the Hay Vets team.

The Hay Vets service has consistently been supportive, pet-centred, and informative. They really seem to care about your pet and the relationship you have with your pet. They give constructive, informed advice about your pet and their care.

Recently we have had on-going difficulties with two animals and have had a number of consultations, including two home visits and problems at the weekend. We have been incredibly impressed with the way vets liase with each other and it is usually possible to see a specific vet if necessary. I have found that vets also follow up with phone calls if necessary. Overall the attitude of vets - in this case Hannah, Kate and Helen, and the other staff helped us through quite a stressful period.

We have used HayVets since moving to the area about 16 years ago. They have looked after two dogs for us right through to the end of their lives. We have always found the vets to be a friendly, caring and thoughtful team to deal with. Now we are about to embark on searching for a puppy and we'll be in for the immunizations and annual checks.

Vet Response

Thank you for your review - we really appreciate your feedback. We look forward to meeting your new puppy soon! In the meantime, if you have any questions about choosing a puppy, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Having recently moved into the area we feel so lucky to have found Hay Vets. In a very stressful situation both our poorly woof & ourselves were given the utmost care & respect - Both Vet Louise & Laura's knowledge of our situation made the world of difference, especially as we have a rescue animal who is absolutely terrified of visiting the vet & who never fails to play up! Louise & Laura were stars & took it all in their stride managing to calm our dog down & in turn.....me too :-) Thank you so very much.

Staff went out of their way to help me with two problems with my pet dog. Firstly she pulls terribly when on a lead. They ordered in three different harness leads for me to try, one of which I purchased and it worked! The second is she bolts her food. They recommended an inexpensive feeding bowl shaped like a maze and it's certainly slowed her down. This is on top of the great service I have had in the past when I had her spayed and during her regular health checks.

Having recently moved to the area we were very anxious to find a vet practice that we would like and trust and we are so relieved to find Hay Vets! Not long after registering we had a very poorly cat who had to be put to sleep and that was done with such care and compassion by Barney. We have since had problems with our new kitten (maybe no longer a kitten as he is now one!) and our other cat, both have had excellent care by Kate and the team. Kate has been great, giving us and our cats such care and support. It is so important to have a vets that appreciate just how important your pets are and ensure that they get the best care and we are pleased to say that we are not disappointed in any way, thankyou.

Thank you so much for your very kind words. It's a pleasure to care for Henry and Bryn - both such lovely cats!

Our cat is almost 22 years and has a very good quality of life. Thank you to the whole team who helped him recover from a nasty chest infection and to Helen who had to do a very tricky dental on him. They will help you make difficult decisions when the time comes with sensitivity. Thank you Kate who sent us a beautiful card when our 19 year old was 'put to sleep.'

It is always hard when the time comes to put down a much-loved pet. We were hugely impressed last weekend with the professional help in making such a decision and the sensitive manner in which our gentle old dog was put to sleep. This must be a part of the job that vets hate and to do it so well takes skill and humanity. We are grateful.
