Yesterday, on recommendation from a friend, I took my dog, Inca, to see Peter van Dongen at Medivet in Horsham regarding her intermittent lameness which has been ongoing now for quite some time and has got progressively worse....I didn't have any expectations....We have already seen 2 specialist vets and have conducted gait analysis, X-rays, CT scans and MRI scans without finding anything substantial enough to be causing the lameness. We've also been for hydro and physio and although everyone was very thorough and did a great job of checking her over, we couldn't find anything other than some minor arthritis in her wrists and one of her elbows. With each trip to the vet, I ended up coming home with a different set of painkillers for her, none of which made any difference. I don't think I have ever trusted a vet quite so quickly and Pete clearly has so much knowledge and experience. He listened to everything I said, looked over her recent X-rays and assessed her movement before he checked her range of movement . He quite quickly found the cause of her injury and was able to explain it to me in detail and even show me how he had discovered it and how it had impacted her muscle tone and range of movement on that leg. So it turns out that Inca has a partial ligament tear in her shoulder....we have been looking in the wrong place the whole time! It is also possible to see this on her X-rays, due to calcification build up, if you know what you are looking for! So relieved to finally have an explanation and to be able to begin getting her back to fitness at last! I would recommend Pete to absolutely anyone, especially if you have been struggling with finding the cause of an injury. I'm going to be registering my other two dogs with him today! Since I have got home, I've found out that numerous other people have had similar experiences and it seems that Pete's manner and professionalism is becoming quite well known amongst those with dogs competing in dog sports! I wish I had been to him from the beginning and won't be going anywhere else now! In addition to this the entire reception team were so friendly and polite as well, which really makes it a great experience for me and my dogs.

We have a wonderful parrot called Monty who we rescued about 8 years ago. We found it difficult to find a specialist avian vet in our area. Recently Monty who we now know is a she became very unwell and luckily we came across Seers (medivet) @ faygate in between Horsham and Crawley. Monty was seen by a vet called John Luca sorry if it's spelt wrong, we found him and his staff very compassionate and friendly, they with their expertise soon got Monty back to his naughty healthy self. A big thank you.

We were recommended to contact Seers Croft when in on emergency on bank holiday Monday when our 9 month old Westie, Flora, was bitten by an adder on the Denbies Hill walk off Ranmore Common Road. The first vet we went to was not able to help with the snake bite and in a panic we contacted our dog trainer who told us about Seers Croft. Thankfully Seers Croft had the antivenom and whilst we were travelling to the vet, Anselmo and the team had found out exactly what needed to be done to save Flora’s life. The team were so professional and kind and instantly made us feel like we were in the right place - they advised us what the options were and treated her quickly. Thankfully our puppy has made a full recovery and we will be eternally grateful for the treatment and kindness we received at Seers Croft. She was cared for so well during her stay and we felt 100% confident in the team. Flora has arrived home completely happy and fully recovered and our local vet has told us we were very lucky to have found a vet with the antivenom and the knowledge needed. We have told all our friends about Seers Croft and thank them with all our hearts. Best wishes. The Yeomans family and Flora

After months of my collie having trouble with his jumping and many visits to my local vet, who was unable to find a problem, I was advised to take my collie to see Pete Van Dongen . Pete was brilliant and pinpointed his problem straight away, helped him to be, once again a happy and fun loving little collie. We can't thank Pete enough .

We live in Southern Ireland and we used to use John Sauvage in Cranbrook to heart test our boxer dogs, we were so disappointed when we found out that he has now retired and we would have to look for another vet, we looked on the boxer breed council website's recommended list for vets that heart test and found Dan Andrews, he was not the closest to where we were staying, but we liked the look of their website and the comments other people had left, we telephone the practice and spoke to a very helpful receptionist who told us that she would speak to Dan and call us back, an appointment was arranged and the dogs details given over the phone to save time, we arrived to very helpful and friendly staff, and an amazing experience with Dan, he was so calm and professional with both the dogs, especially our young bitch, she was very fidgety and would not stand still for long but Dan did not fuss and took his time, he even explained what the results meant, we look forward to having a very long association with Dan Andrews and will be recommending him to all our friends. Such a fantastic service thank you.

Emergency vet only interested in how much insurance cover we had, he lied on the clinical report, I have tried to talk this over with him but he doesn’t return the calls to me this is an admission of guilt and because of this I will no longer be bringing any of my other pets to any medi vet practice
