I found a 6 week old Kitten on the Sharrow Road which had suffered some form of trauma, Mark the Vet and Jane the Receptionist could not of been more helpful and understanding. This little Kitten owes her life to them!

The vet and veterinary nurse were brilliant. They were informative, concise, patient and caring. They made a real difference to Henry, my dog's health. So grateful that they were available when we needed them.

We used Oak Beck Veterinary Hospital twice (once for initial treatment and then for the follow up appointment) after our dog was referred for dental treatment by our vet in Hull. It was a long way to travel and we were somewhat nervous but, from the minute we walked into the surgery, we were made to feel extremely welcome by the reception staff, helping us to relax after a two hour journey and making us a coffee. The waiting room was spacious with well set out seating, such a help when you have a nervous or reactive dog. Their timings are obviously well thought out as there were rarely more than two people waiting at any one time. The vet dentist was a true gentleman - he was kind to both ourselves and our dog (bearing in mind that at this point we were anxious as we were unsure whether it was dental treatment she needed or whether it was something more 'sinister'). He explained in detail what he intended to do and throughout the day (we were in Harrogate for more than 8 hours) we were contacted by telephone to keep us informed. He was truly sorry when he couldn't save the tooth he had hoped to and had to remove it. He then explained in detail, using photos and xrays to explain the treatment that had been carried out. Thank you for such a pleasant experience of being at your vets. If we lived in or near Harrogate, we would have no hesitation in registering with your practice. Mr and Mrs Thomas (& Molly)

VetHelpDirect Google The vet [Miss Blackburn] clearly has an affinity with cats and had an excellent approach/manner with our nervous animal. We are pleased that she will be there when our cats needs a vet!

A lump was found in my dogs jaw. I took him to my local vet who on the same day removed a Tooth took X-rays and contacted Bob Partridge who took over and did radical surgery saving my dogs life. Bob Partridge is very skilled, compassionate, does not beat about the bush tells you exactly what needs to be done so you are not left wondering . The staff at the hospital are also caring for pet and owners alike. We would not hesitate to recommend Bob Partridge the hospital or staff. Thankyou for the work you are doing for all pets and owners. Joyce and Neil Loughran Saltburn, Cleveland

I was referred to OakBeck by my vet at Minster Veterinary Practice in Southwell when my Irish Setter Chester suffered an injury to his mouth and jaw and was in danger of losing a canine. Bob Partridge, the specialist vet sorted out the injury and fitted a brace which would hopefully allow the loose tooth to stabilise. After several weeks the brace was removed and Chester's tooth is safe. I cannot praise Bob and has nurses and staff enough for the care given to my beloved dog. Thank you all.

Absolutely amazing care shown towards us and our dog. Dog was extremely unwell, so we were obviously anxious, and they were quick to see and calm us, also efficient in explaining what was wrong and what treatment would be. Always updating us with how our dog was doing and easy to call if we had any questions. Not our usual Vets but will use again and definitely recommend.
