We have several pets and inevitably there have been sad times when we have had to make tough decisions and experienced heartbreak and loss. All the staff have been amazing and looked after us and out pets through these times. Equally we have very happy times, especially with a new puppy last year when trips to the vet can be daunting for young pups, but Haribo was made to feel so welcome and cuddled by everyone. The overwhelming feeling at Medivet West Kingsdown is that they all care greatly for you and your pets and it is a warm and welcoming family of people that love all the animals they treat.

Having been with another vetinary practise for over 25 years I was getting increasingly frustrated by the cost of treatment and advice being given. I know vets are expensive and we all want the best for our pets but it seemed that every time I went I came away feeling guilty that I hadn't taken advantage of some complimentary medicine or treatment that had been proposed for my aging but otherwise healthy Labradour. It also became apparent that they would always prescribe any medication in the smallest quantity possible to maximise their profits. I finally resolved to do something, other than complaining which I had done before with some limited success, and moved my animal's care to Medivet and I must say we haven't looked back since. The care they show the animal is the equal of any but just as importantly you don't get the impression that they are more interested in lining their own pockets. They are much more down to earth and haven't proffered any treatments that would have limited but costly implications for our beloved 15 year old Lab. shortly after moving to them a couple of years ago Poppy required some quite extensive dental work that had resulted in a serious infection. Their care of Poppy, advice, information and reasonable pricing made me realise how lucky I was to have moved when I did. Based on our experience of the practise so far I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Chris Auckland has helped our much loved elderly Jack Russell with laser treatment, acupuncture, homeopathy, kindness and skill for over a year now. She was losing interest in everything, but the treatment Chris has given our 16 year old little dog has brought back her vitality and interest in life. Everyone at the surgery is very helpful and understanding and it is always a pleasure to visit.

Staff are always polite and friendly. They are very knowledgeable and always willing to answer any questions you put to them. The vet fees are very competitive and the payment plan is highly recommended.

We have recently have had to 2 major operations on our Labrador and on each occasion the service we have recieved for our questions and the dogs care has been fantastic. Nothing has been to much hassle for minor questions to having time with the Vet to answer my hundreds of questions about the operation. A great team and i would recommend them.

Exceptionally friendly and professional staff and service. As my dog has an ongoing skin problem we are regular attendees and it's always a delight to visit the practice. It's very plain to see that they are committed to providing the best possible care for your pet, alongside building a good relationship with their clients. Five stars for 1st class service! *****

We love, or should I say Rufus, 'loves' coming to see you. You are always very kind and supportive. I must say that when you treated our lovely Tessie you were wonderful and I would definitely recommend your services to other people.

I am a life long pet owner and have respect for all vet practices but have seen during the last ten years the shift in animal welfare and patient and owner practice experience become uncaring and a business model. Thank goodness for pilgrims at enterprise house. The whole team are absolutely amazing and it is like stepping back thirty years to the days when they care, they know your pet, they understand being a pet parent can be really upsetting AND the care, investigations and diagnosis has been brilliant. This practice is not my local vet but I would prefer to travel to with my pets to see Leon. Do I have concerns ..... yes because I think what am earth would I do if he ever left. His manner and complete concern and care is shared by all the team. If your reading this because your looking for a vet for your animal my advice is book and see them and make your own judgement but I believe it will be the best appointment you could wish for. Bimble and lavender wag their tails when they go in even though bimble has been unwell and had to unset go some unpleasant tests.

Today I sadly had to say good bye to Precious the cat my son found on the streets 11 months ago, bald, starving & thin. I did not think she would last the night but she did. The RSPCA came out at took her to another vet's in Dartford who said she had nothing major wrong with her just malnutrition so I kept her and was told she was old as had only 1 tooth. Well she blossomed into the most loving contented cat ever. Then a couple of weeks later she went down hill so took her to Pilgrims way where they gave her a thorough check up, her gums were rotten with broken teeth, she was almost blind and her ears were dirty. I was so shocked to hear this after the other vets saying there was nothing wrong. So she was given antibiotics , and ear drops. She thrived . All her fur grew back and she was a beautiful tortoise shell persian again. She has been so loved, spoilt, and given so much joy to me as I am disabled so has been my companion everyday. But she went down hill last week and hardly ate but thought she would bounce back as she has before but not this time. She has fought through some tough times in her past but had a will to live and keep going she would not give up.Yet I had to end it for her to day and am heart broken beyond belief. Leon is an amazing vet & person with such compassion and I thank you for that. She will lay to rest in the garden where she loved sitting next to my Tortoise. Thank you so much for making her end so peaceful. xx
