I have visited the practice twice in the last six weeks as my Staffie has Mast Cell cancer and I had been warned that she would not live more than 12 months. She experienced a sharp decline and I thought it was time to 'say goodbye' but with Fiona's care and support - plus a bottle of steroid tablets - Tilly is now racing around on the beach once again and wagging her tail. I feel I am dealing with a friend as much as a professional pet and have 100% confidence that she will be there for me when the sad time comes. Dogs usually look apprehensive when the visit the dreaded vets' waiting room, but Tilly now wags her tail when she sees Fiona... and that's good enough for me.

Vet Response

Thank you ever so much for your kind review, it's so lovely to see Tilly bounding in to see us with her wagging tail. We shall pass your message onto Fiona. We are here if you have any worries or concerns about Tilly.

I've been having problems with my pooches anal glands and the guys at Penmellyn have been fantastic. They treated us as if we were the only customer they had. Always friendly from when you walk in to when you walk out. I wouldn't go anywhere else with my pooch. 10 out of 10.

During the 18 months our dog suffered with Epilepsy Anna and Lucy at St Merryn surgery were always there for us and our dog, right to the very end. It was a hard time for us and would have been a lot harder if it wasn't for these guys who steered us through every problem that occurred, even ensuring that that horrible day was carried out very sympathetically and to our wishes. You are the best and we will never forget your efforts x x

I take my pets to the St Merryn surgery. Each time I have brought my cat or dog into the surgery everyone has been so lovely! My cat isn't too bad, although isn't a fan of being in a box and being handled by other people, but thankfully it's never been for anything too serious. My dog however if a rescue from Romania and is petrified of the vets. Everyone always tries their best to make him calm and fuss him to take his mind off whats happening. There are always lots of treats involved! And Lucy on reception suggested that I bring him in when I'm passing to be weighed so he gets used to coming in, sitting down and having a treat and then going. Everyone seems very kind and helpful and reassuring for quite a worried fur mummy! :) Thank you everyone!

I have been to the St Merryn practice a few times with my cat fluffy wuffy puffy and she has always been looked after fantastically from worm and flee treatment to an infected eye. The vets are always brilliant with fluffy and we know we are in safe hands. Well done penmellyn vets!

They have always been very friendly and helpful. When I had my elderly cat put down the vet was so lovely even though I was a blubbering mess. The waiting room is always clean and tidy as are the treatment rooms. I cannot find fault.
