Always used Strathmore years ago when I had two dogs so naturally chose to go back to them when I got myself another dog last October. The surgery has changed a lot and is beautifully laid out, clean, bright and welcoming. The reception staff are lovely, caring and efficient. I've seen several different staff with Riley and each and everyone has been so caring and professional that you know your pet is in safe hands. Most recently Riley has been in and been seen by Simon who kept her in for sedation to remove a grass seed from right up against her ear drum, all went well and groggy little dog back to usual, boisterous self very quickly! During last fortnight Giacomo has been treating Riley for an abscess ( result of being chased and bitten by another dog

Our Labrador Retreiver, Safi, was very unwell so we took her to Strathmore where she has been registered since she was a puppy. They were very thorough and professional. After various checks, a scan and X ray, it was found that something appeared to be blocking her small intestine. An operation was carried out and the blockage removed. She took a while to recover, probably due to her age as she is almost 12 (84!) but is now fully back to her old self now. The staff were all so attentive and helpful and we are so thankful that she is still with us!

This comes with heartfelt gratitude for all the kindness and caring you gave to our beloved dog Benji over the years. Benji had a unique character, a very gentle and loving nature. We hold on to precious memories we shared with him. It was very hard to let him go but we knew it was time. He is in the garden with his Mum, Bebe, at rest. Thank you Strathmore you will always come top of our list and you deserve more recognition.

Let down beyond belief - Strathmore were not there when we needed them the most! Having been a loyal customer for 30+ years, our cat was hit by a car last night and we took him straight to the vets. Their emergency number failed to be answered by anyone despite ringing it twice! During this time our beloved family pet died in my husband’s arms. No one even called us back. Between us both, my husband and I’s families have given Strathmore over 70 years worth of custom and we have trusted them with 10s of pets over the years. Absolutely heartbroken to have been let down in such an appalling way. When we raised this issue with the practice owner, he seriously lacked any customer service or compassion and suggested that no calls were received! I understand that it was likely there would have been very little the vet could have done to save our cat but that is not the point. We were let down in the biggest way possible. We have since registered our other surviving cat with another vet, as we need complete peace of mind that someone will actually answer the phone in a genuine emergency! Relying on their so-called out of hours emergency line is seriously gambling with your pets life! I sincerely hope that no one else ever experiences this issue.
Vet ResponseI am very sorry to hear of the tragic loss of Mr. Howe's cat Toby following a road traffic accident. The reason that Mr Howe could not get through on the clinic's emergency mobile telephone number was that the phone suffered a failure - an issue which was completely out of our control. This phone was immediately replaced. Our sympathy goes out to the Howe family at this very sad time

My family have always used Strathmore for their previous pets and current. When moving into my own place I got a house rabbit, and decided to follow suit and use Strathmore too. They’ve been amazing with Arthur, and always give him the fuss he wants when we go in. I wouldn’t trust anybody else to look after my bun. Everyone is always happy to see you, and listen to your concerns no matter how silly you think they are.

Everyone in the Practice including the vets themselves, nurses and receptionists are all very friendly and extremely caring. In my view, the best veterinary practice in Andover.

I have used Strathmore for many years and cannot speak too highly of their care, expertise, compassion and helpfulness. My dog was recently an inpatient and all staff were so patient and kind in their dealings with me and keeping me updated about her progress. They put the care of the animal first with support for owner a very close second. They take time to listen to understand each animals individual personality and needs . All staff, vets, receptionists and nurses deliver a 100% caring and compassionate service to owners and pets. I couldn’t have got through my dogs recent illness without their support.
