I recently got four budgies from a breeder that had been mishandled and were poorly. I attended the vets to get some advise as one of them was unresponsive. Sadly I lost that budgie but the others have been checked by the vet and given antibiotics which have already made an improvement to the remaining three budgies. I cannot say how thankful I am for the help and advise given but also and more importantly to me the support I received from all the staff. Thank you.

I have used Ashbrook , on Battle road for many years. I have been to them with all sorts of animals , including wildlife ... All the animals in my care have always been treated with the up-most care and compassion . I now run a Face Book group , along with 3 other ladies ( all of which bring their own animal to Sussex Coast vets ) our Face book group is , Hastings cat lovers , we have taken in many cats over the years , and all have been to Sussex coast vets for treatment . Most of the cats that come into our care , are in a very bad way , due to being abandoned , or mistreated ... we are always told the cost of any treatments up front , and the cats are always treated with the same love and respect as our own pets ... I thank all the staff for all the love they show , and the help we have had in saving these cats . Also my huge Rottweiler thinks going to the vet is a real treat and pulls be into the waiting room . now that's has to be a good sign . Thank you all for everything

My dog was suddenly unwell with no apparent warning signs with an anal gland infection. She was treated with care and compassion and I wasn't made to feel bad, which I had experienced previously at a different vets. The vets and their team were 1st class. I would definitely recommend this surgery.

After being with chase vets at silverhill I decided to take her to ashbrooks on battle road because it was nearer.I have since removed her from the practice as when she was ill a few weeks ago and I took her there I was told that she only had an infection and to give her chicken and rice which I had already done.When she was no better by the Fri I rang the vets only to be told that when she was seen she hadn't got a temperature.I would like to know how the vet knew that as it was never taken.In the end my dog had to have two blood tests as it was her pancreas and now on a special diet.Needless to say I lost all confidence and trust in the practice

We try to maintain the highest standards of care at all our branches of Chase Vets. It sounds as if this patient had signs of gastroenteritis - it is normal in the first instance to treat this with rest, fluids and a bland diet. If the patient does not recover we would then recommend further examination and tests if necessary. In this case it sounds as if the animal had an underlying pancreas problem, a condition which may well cause gastric signs and would need further, careful management.

After 14 years of being with this Vet, i felt after the visit with my sick dog i had to get a second opinion. The second opinion confirmed that my dog was suffering from a neurology problem caused by the cancer he has had for 2 years, sadly now he has passed. This vet said he has old man syndrome and gave him pain killers, very disappointed in chase.
