Unfortunately during this horrid Covid 19 I had the misfortune of having to have our beautiful 17 year old family treasure PTS. From the very first manic call I made to the collection of Tiggers ashes I cannot praise ALL the staff high enough. They’re compassionate caring and professional manner was outstanding. It was one of most distressing moments and Decisions I’ve had to make since loosing my husband. The card, the paw

I would like to thank the vet and all the staff who have operated on and cared for my dog over the last 13 weeks. Jess broke her tibia and fibula bones and thanks to the professionalism of this vets she has healed perfectly. Not a sign left of her trauma. I can’t thank you enough.

If anyone is considering bringing there dogs here DO IT they are simply amazing! My cocker spaniel Trigger had a suspected Luxating Patella which my old vets failed to diagnose, they were also very forceful when examining him which has now made him fearful of the vets. I immediately went for a second opinion and was recommended Vets4Pets Barnsley, I saw Peter who took great care in examining Trigger at one point he did go to bite Peter but he refused to muzzle him instead he asked me to leave the room which I did and it solved the issue. Trigger was then admitted for X-rays did they just X-ray his leg? No they went the extra mile and did both legs, hip and his spine. I’ve seen the xrays myself and they are so clear! I collected Trigger and he was sooo happy despite the circumstances (I think the photo speaks for itself). They found he did have a Luxating Patella so he was then booked in for surgery I expected Trigger to be fearful returning to the vets especially after being sedated oh no!! He practically dragged me into the vets and couldn’t wait to be taken through he wasn’t interested in saying bye to me and I think that just goes to show how great they are with animals. My once nervous pup is now excited when he visits the vets. Triggers operation went amazing they even took the time to call me a day after to check up on him and told me they are there 24/7 should he need anything. We’re only at the beginning of his recovery but I’ve already been given a large info pack with his physiotherapy and rehabilitation programme to read through I’m honestly amazed at the level of care he’s received. I also want to mention how great the reception staff are and all the vets there working to keep our pets safe in a time like this, thank you!!

Thank you so much to the whole Barnsley Vets4Pets team for spending the last 42 hours fighting to save Brian's life and getting him home to us. We can't thank you enough for the constant updates and the care you've given him in order for him to survive and the kisses and cuddles he got from the nurses and receptionists. He's doing well so far at home, has had something to eat and drink, he's obviously still uncomfortable and over whelmed but he's home and alive, Thank you so much XXX

I took my chihauhau to the practice yesterday morning expecting the worst as my beloved little dog at only 6years old had become suddenly paralysed in both hind legs and couldn’t even stand. From my initial telephone call to the welcome I received upon arrival the reception staff are extremely helpful and caring. I saw Peter (the owner) he is the most compassionate vet I have ever known (and believe me I have seen them all in the Barnsley area over the years). He treat my dog and myself as an individual and discussed the best course of treatment, NOT rushing through the consultation using jargon that you can’t understand or seeing how much money you could be relieved of in a 15 minute period like many other practices!!!!! Please give these guys a try, the place is immaculate, staff are exceptional, Peter has an experienced and professional manner and truly treats your pet as his own not a number on a list!!! 5 stars from us and our little dog Minnie

I attended with my young daughter last night as an urgent appointment with Charlotte's Hamster that we knew was probably going to be put to sleep. Charlotte was very upset and the girls on the front desk we amazing chatting to her and reassuring her prior to seeing the vet. Unfortunately Hersey had a fast growing tumor- the Vet Viktor was lovely explaining everything and reassuring Charlotte it was the best thing for Hersey- he brought her back after she was put to sleep wrapped in a little blanket - this small detail meant so much to Charlotte and this small bit of extra care showed that Hersey had been cared for and was snuggled up safe after we had lost her. My daughter has severe PTSD- something that the team at Vets$Pets could not have known. I was concerned that such a big loss to my daughter would bring on a panic attack, but the care prior and after care was exceptional from everyone last night

My 11 year old cocker spaniel has always been looked after since we moved back into the area some 7 years plus and sees Peter regularly for anal gland checks however 8 weeks ago Archie damaged his crucial leg ligaments resulting in major surgery which was such a worrying time I honestly cannot praise Peter enough for the kindness shown and the care given and for performing and explaining every step of this operation to me. Five weeks on Archie is full of life enjoying the weekly check ups with the lovely nurses and seeing his favourite lady Louise as a bonus! I really cannot recommend Barnsley Vets4Pets enough
