Vet Response

Dear Mr Thurston Thank you for sharing your concerns about Levi and the euthanasia costs with us. Regarding the euthanasia costs, we charge £140 for the actual procedure but we do charge more for a home visit as the vet needs to be away from the practice for a significant amount of time. A sedation fee was also estimated in case a sedation was needed but this is not always the case. We cannot comment on the estimate from other veterinary practices as we do not know what they include in their estimates. I hope that this explains the itemised cost of a home visit compared to euthanasia at the practice. Please feel free to contact the surgery if you wish to discuss this further. I am sorry if this has caused you any distress. Kind Regards Benedettta

A big thank you to Drs. Jessica Lau and Hayley Baker for the incredible kindness they showed me when Dougal my much loved cocker spaniel became terminally ill. He has since died but l am grateful for their care of both me and Dougal at a very sad time. I would also like to say how friendly and helpful the reception staff are. Thank you.

Everyone was very friendly and seemed to care huge amounts about every single animal, the receptionists were so lovely and chatty, it made me feel less nervous as to why I was there.

We have always received excellent care and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A few times now we have needed help at odd hours and with short notice and they have done everything to squeeze us in (even just before closing). I am amazed at the level of attention and care considering the really reasonable prices. I definitely recommend this vets!

Honestly, nothing but wonderful things to say for the team here. Everyone we have dealt with - vets, receptionists, nurses - have all been just wonderful. Really recommend this vets, plus they have far better opening hours than anywhere else - which is a blessing for working pet owners!

I had my cat of 20 years put down at Barnwell Cambridge. The staff were fantastic, I can't thank them enough. I received a card a few days later, which was very thoughtful. Thank you x

On Sunday 22nd October, my elderly lurcher had his second stroke, and I had to make the awful decision to let him cross the rainbow bridge. From the moment I called the vets I was treated with compassion. I took Gandalf to the vets, was seen straight into a room and Gandalf was given a mattress to lay on, the vets were kind, patient and gave him fusses while reassuring me that I was doing the right thing, they made a very difficult day easier. Gandalf was treated with total love and respect. This morning a condolence card arrived from the vets with a packet of forget-me-not seeds in it, such a lovely gesture. I highly recommend Vets4Pets. Thank you Denise, Benedetta and Kerry-Anne for their help xx

My latest visit to the vet for my 15 yr old jack Russell was to discuss his old age issues. The vet is familiar with all my pet's history and was able to offer a dietary supplement in the first instance. My pet has been visiting this practice since he was a puppy and had more than one life saving operations here. All the vets, nurses and support staff are caring, compassionate and professional. I highly recommend this practice.
