GeneralAlsager Vet Centre is a brand new purpose built veterinary surgery, opened in February 2012 and equipped with state of the art equipment. We are committed to providing the highest levels of veterinary care and are always on hand to offer help and advice in a friendly and caring environment. We have a dedicated team of vets and nurses and all the equipment at our disposal to look after your pets.
We are part of a small independently owned group based in Cheshire, who have been providing local pet care for over 50 years. As part of this group we have the support of a Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital, just two junctions away, up the M6. Our out of hours service is provided at Biddulph or Congleton and all of our vets provide 24 hour emergency cover at the hospital on a rota basis. We also have a Referral Hospital (Oakwood Veterinary Referrals) so rest assured if your pet needs specialist treatment it is provided locally. Alsager Vets are a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons accredited practice, in order for us to maintain our Accredited status we are subjected to regular scheduled inspections and also spot visits.
Alsager Vet Centre, boast fantastic reviews and a team of qualified staff who are passionate about their jobs. Our veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and receptionists are trained to respond promptly to any emergency and able to cope with the hardest situation.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Alsager Vet Centre. Gillian and the team have always been so kind and respectful whenever I have had reason to visit with my cat, Poppy. They have helped to make a very difficult experience with our very poorly cat a little more bearable and my family would like to say thank you for their kindness and understanding, it means a lot.

I was told In the waiting room my dog would be better be put down !!! In the waiting room with people in their. .they came outside could not believe they never had taken me in the room for privacy. Would not go back. ..in the end Aston had so much love were he went to be put to sleep we were all with him. Will miss him for ever xxx
Vet ResponseWe are sorry to hear that this client was not satisfied with the service they received at Alsager Vet Centre. The blood results and the treatment options were discussed with the client and her son in the vet’s consult room, which is standard procedure to ensure privacy. At no point were these topics discussed in the waiting room, although the client did have a discussion about them on her phone in the waiting room following the consultation. We are deeply sorry to hear that Aston has unfortunately been put to sleep. Please accept our sincere condolences.

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
