\n Complete lack of any care at all for your pet!! Unfortunately my dog was admitted here. He was admitted with a temperature, tender stomach. We knew after first admitting him, the vet was disinterested, we actually asked him ‘ he’s due pain relief now ‘ he wasn’t interested, ‘ he humoured us , oh yes he said I’ll do that’ we knew he had no intention. We then gave him the bag of fluids for his drip, again, he said ‘ oh yes’ ok then. He couldn’t t get rid of us quick enough, He spent all of 3 minutes with us he just took our dog and I know he was dumped, caged and left. No fluids, no pain relief, no care whatsoever. we both felt sick after leaving the dog there. We sat in the car and didn’t no what to do? I believe my dog was left with no fluids and pain relief I believe he’s suffered a trauma due to the state and conditions he was left in and you’ll understand why now. He required an x ray and scan. We left him there at 3..30pm we were promised results and an update that day by the vet, he actually assured me he i would definitely hear asap. We rang many, many times for help as to how he was doing, his results etc.. every time we were told there was no update and at one point I was told ‘she’ was fine as they had just checked on her! That said it all..,\r\nWe tried asking to speak to the vet, anxious as to the dogs condition, promised a call every time which never happened, no one contacted us at all that day. I rang from 5.30am the following morning, the nurse\/receptionist would say the dog was fine but with no detail as to his condition, medication, general health of our dog or x ray\/scan results. 7am I eventually got through to a vet after ringing again. This vet did not treat our dog and knew nothing about him. After waiting on hold, she told me, scans were clear, he was fine?? I asked what medication he was given etc.. what was wrong with him then?? She said, maybe gastro enteritis?? No medication required. To be honest, I was just relieved to be getting him out of there. I was concerned. \r\nThere was no genuine care at all here, it is a conveyor belt, they are reeled in and out. Our dog is valued and used to being cared for. I was really concerned, I collected him at 9.30am. \r\nThey handed me the dog, he was somber, he was a different dog. I was given a probiotic paste, for diarrhoea? He’s never and still didn’t have diarrhoea. I asked was this demeanour due to sedation, medication? It was the receptionist ( who gave us the dog, not the vet, we didn’t see a vet again only the once when admitting him.) said ‘ I don’t know.!’ \r\nThankful he was now in our care I got him home. \r\nI put him on the floor when I arrived. He tried to walk, and his back legs buckled, he fell to he side on the ground. He couldnt stand or walk at all. I panicked, picked him up and immediately rang Alder. Again, no vet! A receptionist, I told them what happened, was this ok?? Why?? She knew nothing, I was told to ring back. I rang back twice, I was told, don’t worry it could sort itself out, keep an eye on him but if you’re worried ring back later. I rang and was told the same, was it medication? I don’t know. Was it usual, I don’t know?? When was the sedation, im unsure??? One thing was for sure, he was never going back there, he had been traumatised. My dog came home in a worse condition that when he went in. \r\nWell two days later, he’s still struggling to walk, he’s a different dog, his back legs buckle, he’s struggling. \r\nI contacted our own Medivet. We saw them at 4pm. Basically, they said they’ve no idea what’s happened. We explained this happened in your care?? Apparently he may have had a stroke, brain damage whilst in there? He now needs further scans an MRI. \r\nSo my dog was admitted with stomach tenderness and temperature he returned home with possible brain injury. \r\nI will explain why; there was no care for this unwell dog from the beginning. They told me my dog had eaten that morning. How?? He couldn’t walk. They genuinely did not treat him with any genuine care at all. Brain injury will be due to the trauma he’s experienced in Alder. He was unwell, left alone, lack of any care at all. \r\nThis will not be left as it is. I can’t get back what they’ve taken from my little dog, they’ve ruined him, his personality, physically he’s struggling to live a normal life. Please, please do not trust them with your pet!! Learn from what happened to us. \r\nThis started with a little dog not feeling good with a temp and sore stomach, after 24hrs being admitted to alder, he is a different dog, no personality and can’t walk properly due to possible stroke\/ brain injury which nobody in Alder knew about??! They didn’t even know he couldn’t walk because they didnt care for him in anyway. He wasn’t fed, he couldnt get up or walk. Seek help anywhere else you can. Don’t put your pet at risk here. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n \n
