Welcome to Bicester Vets

At Bicester Vets we pride ourselves on caring for your pets as we would care for our own. We specialise in treating dogs, cats, rabbits and all small pets (including backyard chickens). We have long opening hours for your convenience and provide our own 24 hour emergency Vet should you require assistance out of hours. What's more the service is based at our own practice so there's no need to drive to an unfamiliar Emergency Centre. For the best levels of care we provide 24 hour on-site nursing as standard for all our hospitalised patients.

"An exceptional service from North Oxfordshire's most established, independent, speciality small animal Vet practice"

I have been with Bicester vets for 20 years- or 5 cats and one dog. My most recent visit has arisen from one of my cats having a complex bowel issue, requiring complex surgery and a stay with the vets. They have kept me informed of his progress and the results of the various biopsies, and discussed at length the implications. My cat was happy in their hospital and is recovering well at home.

I have just read your news that Richard will be leaving your practice,i would think he will be a great loss, Recently whilst visiting my son in Merton, my elderly jack russell devoured slug pellets ( poisonous to dogs )so looking up nearest vets we found Bicester vets, it was in the afternoon , but out of hours, but Richard happened to be on hand and immediately took care of my dog, she has Arthritis and can be quite tachy if not handled carefully, no problem Richard soon had it under control and, as is the procedure with slug pellets ,she was soon given the injection to make her sick, still needs must !! We were reassured that all was fine and she had a bed for the night , we live in Northampton so we were a little concerned that she would be ok, we rang the vet latter and we were again reassured that she was fine,, the next day we collected her ,she was quite happy and was non the worse for her night away.We can imagine that Richard will be greatly missed in the practice, however we wish him well and thankyou for the care you gave to my very much loved dog.I am not a client of the practice,( living in a different area )but felt we would like to thank Richard again for his quick action.

My family have used Bicester Vets for many years. Recently our two year old cat Sparkles was run over and was taken to Bicester vets by a kind passer-by. Fortunately Sparkles was chipped so the vets could call us. When we arrived Jason had already stitched Sparkles lower lip back as it had been very badly ripped, also she had a badly broken back leg, two broken teeth and swollen internals. The situation wasn't looking great but Richard the vet showed us an X ray of her damaged leg and explained the options and the possible complications. We wanted to try and save Sparkles leg and Richard and Cliff operated for over 6 hours! They had to insert a metal rod and screw it in place and then brace this with external metal work. The operation has been successful and Sparkles should have her screws out in the next few weeks. Our regular vet at Bicester vets, Palli also gave us some great advice on caring for sparkles as she recovered. We have appreciated the level of service and the compassionate way that Sparkles was treated. Thank you to everyone!

I have Used Bicester vets for about 13 years to care for my cats. In that time I have used them fir routine care, emegency care and to look after a long term sick cat. I am unable to fault the treatment, care or service that both my cats & I have had. Staff are freindly, kind, professional and knowledgable. The facilities are spotless & modern. Treatment is prompt & they seem to really care for the animals in their care. I want the best for my cats, and Bicester Vets certainly is that.
