Always friendly and professional, and explained in layman's terms!

I always recommend this practice to everyone with pets. The vets are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and I know my dogs have had the best treatment possible.

Our cat Amos was very ill but with no apparent cause. He was in for two nights with little improvement but was well looked after. He came home on the Thursday but had to be put to sleep on the Saturday. Everyone was very kind supportive and understanding. Thank you

Value for money I questioned, in my mind, because, through Pelyn Vets, I made contact and I paid for my dog to be assessed by an Animal Behaviourist from Harleigh Vets. His health was, at the time, troublesome and being assessed by Pelyn Vets ( which has been/is both very helpful and professional); I, personally, was concerned about the effect Buster's health issue was having on his behaviour. .... The dog received under three hours of assessment in my own garden. I am unhappy about the real usefulness of the assessment and found the cost well above what the exercise was worth. I liked the vet concerned and she continues to keep in touch with me, which I appreciate, but I personally question the science of her methods and thus any conclusions that that may have been reached. There never was any question, either by the behaviourist or me, of Buster being a dangerously aggressive dog.

Vet Response

Thank you for your review and your feedback. We will let our Registered Veterinary Behaviourist know of your concerns. She is the only Registered VB in the South West and, as with all our veterinary work we very much follow scientific principles in all that we do. She takes referrals from veterinary practices from all of the South West. We do understand though that when dealing with behaviour what works well for some owners may not for others. And all of the team that have dealt with Buster, including all the vets who have treated him, are certain he is neither dangerous or aggressive.
