We recently rushed our 8 month-old Russian Dwarf Hamster (called Milton) to Mediate Lower Earley. He had an open fracture on a hind leg. The vet, Robert Wienesen, said that there were 2 options - either to amputate the leg or to euthanise. We love our little hamster very much, so the only clear option for my partner and I was to ask Robert to amputate the leg. The risks of the procedure were explained very clearly, and Robert did highlight that he never usually operates on animals quite as small as ours. Robert and his team kept us completely in the loop and were so lovely and caring. We waited a nervous few hours but eventually received a phone call informing us that all had gone well! It's now about 3 weeks down the line, and we're absolutely thrilled that our hamster has made a full recovery and hobbles around quite happily on 3 legs! This would be complex and potentially life-threatening surgery for any creature of any size...but to perform such a delicate procedure on the limb of such a tiny creature demonstrates incredible skill, care and very steady hands. We're so grateful to Robert and all the team at Lower Earley, and we know that our hamster is certainly very thankful as well! By the way, his full name is "Milton Le Fluff" - the last time my fiancee lets me name either a pet or child...

Having the two rabbits spayed and cared for and wormed etc for two pet novices, the team in Lower Earley were kind and helpful and cared for our pets as if they were their own. Strongly recommend this practice

Elm lane vets are by far the most kind, friendly and accommodating team of people I have ever been to. They were so kind when we lost our dog Arthur and went above and beyond to treat him in the back of our little car disregarding their own comfort or ease. They've also looked after our saint bernard Kingsley routinely over the past year and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else now. Fantastic team

I have been bringing my pets to Abbey vets for years, I was sceptical when a company took over, however I find them very honest and understanding. All the staff at Medivet Lower Earley are helpful and polite. I can't fault them at all for the service they have given me and my dog Scooby so far. Thank you all at Lower Earley Medivet
