Fantastic team of staff that work hard to make you and your pet feel welcomed and well looked after. The staff are all trained to a high standard and are always quick to answer any question on pet care.

Prompt professional attention from a trusted vet. Parking and access good. Reasonable fees (the least of our concerns as it is the veterinary treatment which led us to move to Medivet Whealey years ago). Katrin is a legend.

Medivet Wheatly, for many years have looked after our animals; the advice we have always received, although on occasion has been very hurtful, has been without fault. We had 8 cats, all have been treated by Medivet with success. On Wednesday 7th September 2016, we took Muppett, our 15 year old only female tortoishell cat to them. She had been for about a week or so, totally incontinent and has lost a lot of body weight, albeit she was eating and drinking, but voraciously. Because of this incontinence we had to isolate her, not only from our other cats in the Kitchen where they all slept, but also from the garden, where she lay in her favourite spot, but was infested with flies, when she messed she would lie in the same place. She always was in the centre of my wife and I when we watched tv and purring. Because of her state, we had to relegate her to the floor, as she now had no control of her movements, and had to keep her in our bathroom. We took Muppett into Medivet yesterday, having both agreed that this was the last journey for her, as it was time to say goodbye. The vet, with the best will in the world suggested that she could have a thyroid problem, taking bloods etc., giving my wife mitigation for her possible recovery. Tonight as I type this review, our little Muppett is dying in a manner we would not have wanted her to leave us, as her organs start shutting down, gasping for breath and shudering. This is ripping me to pieces seeing this, as she was 'my' cat; the second woman in my life. So to all who read this, take Warning; if you feel your animal, no matter what, is ready to leave and their life is coming to an end, remember the good times you had with them, and don't watch, as we are, our Muppett taking her last breaths as she leaves us. Jill and I have the utmost confidence in Medivet, but it is our joint wish in hindsight, that Medivet gave our Muppett some dignity in her passing - albeit this is a very hard choice to make, as we all grow so attached tothem. Vet Response

Thanks for taking the time to share this with us. We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Muppett. It’s always hard to say goodbye. As vets, deciding when to let a beloved pet go is probably one of the hardest things we have to do, and we always do this in consultation with the owner. Unfortunately, hindsight always provides clarity that might be lacking at the time. If there are any clues you think we missed in this journey please do let us know. We know how difficult losing someone so special can be and want to do everything we can to support others who are in a similar position.

We have been coming to see Katrin and the team for some years, and they just get better. The loss of our last dog was dealt with superbly, and our new arrival Bonny was nurtured and cared for by them like one of their own. Many thanks to you all, we really value all you do.

This is a great practice. Everyone is always friendly and we always feel our dogs are well looked after. However the main reason we would recommend this practice is Katrin. She is definitely one of the best vets we have ever come across. She is diligent, perceptive, and does the utmost to ensure our dogs are healthy. Having had a few complicated issues to address, Katrin has always gone out of her way to help. Highly recommend.

I used to go to another local vet but found them to be a little rough and dismissive of both my dog and me. As a reasonably well educated person its good to be spoken to intelligently and Katrin and the team always make sure they share all of their knowledge and expertise; helping on relatively trivial things like getting your pet to take a tablet or puppy parties for free as well as the bigger things that come along. My older dog became v ill 6 months ago and Katrin diagnosed her almost immediately despite it being a rare condition - Addisons - she was very sick and without their quick, caring support we could have lost her but now she's back to normal, with her medication controlling her condition. Our 6 month old puppy Finn likewise had to be taken in this evening just after the practice had closed as he was suddenly taken ill with an unexplained fever and lethargy but Katrin and the team were happy to see him and take care of him as if he was their own. I can't recommend them more highly.

My dog suffers epilepsy and also head injury at birth, he went into a major fit that he wasn't coming out off, the vets in Wheatley told me to take him home as they couldn't do anything for him. So I called medi vets and they told me to bring him straight up to their practice where within minutes he had all the treatment, care and medication he needed. I truly believe without Katrin and Charlotte I wouldn't have my beloved pet with me now. He went to Woodstock practice over night where the staff looked after him amazingly and didn't mind me pestering them with phone calls to see how he was. Not only did they give the best possible care to my dog they took care of me, keeping me updated through this dreadful time! I cannot thank all the staff enough they were all fantastic! I have now registered all my animals with medi vets for their best interests at heart. :) X
