I have been taking my dogs to St Anne's for over 20 years. All the staff have care and compassion for animals. They are very knowledgeable and listen to me as an owner about my worries. Can highly recommend them and would never go anywhere else. We don't live in Eastbourne now but still would rather travel the short distance to St Anne's rather than go anywhere else.

Having been a client of St Annes since the late 1980's I have always been impressed by their service, professionalism and compassion towards myself and our animals. I have always recommended them. The only complaint I have is the way in which I was charged for an out of hours consultation charge as a result of my dog having an accident whilst out walking on the south downs and tearing open his leg necessitating an emergency appointment as he was losing a lot of blood from his wound. I feel that the charge was unnecessary as the circumstances leading to the emergency appointment were out of our control. I also feel that the warning of the charge given by the receptionist at the time of a rather distressing call was inappropriate. In no way am I blaming the receptionist as they are all really wonderful. I think it could have been discussed once we had reached the surgery. This aside I cannot fault the night vet who was absolutely wonderful and kept me informed throughout.
Vet ResponseThanks for your feedback Melanie. If you would like to contact us directly we can look into your experience more accurately and hope to do better next time. Bringing an emergency out of hours service back to Eastbourne has been a highlight of the year and we are glad to hear they did a good job. Having said that we always try to meet our clients expectations of value as well as service and we are sorry if this is not the case.
