My cat was very stressed on arrival as there were a few dogs waiting. As she was panting and meowing, a very kind member of staff removed her into a cool room, and put a cooling fan on. This definitely helped her experience. Thanks all at the surgery, from Belle and my humans

My cat gets very stressed on visiting the vet. As the waiting room was full of dogs, she began panting, and meowing. A very kind member of staff took my cat and her carrier into a cool room, put the cooling fan on for her. We were very grateful for this. As usual, she's treated with respect and kindness. Thank you, from Belle and her humans

I phoned to make an appointment as Harriet {my hamster} was very poorly. I was booked in within 45 minutes. The service i recieved was excellent from the moment i arrived to the moment i left. Sadley Harriet had to be put to sleep. I recieved a memory box which enclosed was a lock of harriets fur, her paw print and a pack of forget me not seeds, also today i received a beautiful card through the post. I cannot express how happy i am with the service i recieved. I was one of the first customers who used this vet when it first opened about 30 years ago when i had cats and as far as i can see, the service is just as perfect now as it was then. Thank you to all, you are doing a wonderful job.

The staff are very welcoming and make a fuss of any pet as they arrive. The nurses are lovely, you can really tell they are true animal lovers and they give great advice. I've never had a problem getting seen when needed and I have always felt my dog is getting the best possible care. I have been using this practice for my pets for over 10 years and even though we have moved house we still travel back there!

I used to be registered at Thameswood - NOT ANYMORE. I took my dog in as a saw a small lump appear on her leg, we went in the vet took no more than a glance told me we could cut it out and it would cost in the region of £700 and wanted to get us out of the room asap. We were less than 5 minutes. I was really upset we were treated like this and sought opinion from other local vets, they offered to biopsy the leg and said it didn't need to be removed but could be. We opted to and this only cost us around £280.00 we were there for 20 minutes and had a much better service. Since this I have spoke to other local people and have heard bad things about this vets - so wound not return or recommend I phoned up to change and passed on my feedback but didn't get an apology SHAME ON YOU

Vet Response

We are extremely sorry that you have felt this way after your visit and as per our protocol you should have been offered another free consultation with any of our other five vets if you were at all unhappy. We regularly offer and carry out fine needle aspirates (FNA) which cost around £42, which provides an initial diagnoses prior to full biopsies or lump removal. If you would be kind enough to forward your details directly we will discuss your complaint at our regular clinical meeting in order to improve our future service. We are pleased to hear your dog is doing well and thank you for taking time to leave your review.

The Royal Wootton Bassett practice is the best vet's we have ever been to, taking very good care of all our cats. They are very caring and nothing is too much trouble for them.
