I had a very poorly old lady and requested a home visit to put her to sleep which is a hard decision for us all to make, the care and respect that was given to her was amazing, I cannot thank the ladies that came to do this difficult task enough for their care for honey and myself.

Well what can I say absolutely first class vets. Have one remaining cat now and he is 16yrs old with quite a few health problems and I am a very high maintenance mum as in get very stressed when he is ill. Staff here are so kind and reassuring and patient with me and even Davey (my cat) is good with them.He had to have an operation yesterday and as he has a heart condition and kidney disease I was very worried. I was kept informed every step of the way and am very pleased with the professional way he was cared for. Pippa is a fantastic vet and Donna who nursed him and everyone on reception were really patient and understanding. Recommend to anyone who wants outstanding service for their pet. Thank you!

Couldn’t fault anything about this practice. They have been amazing with our kitten and always happy to help whether it be over the phone or at appointments

We visited the Clifton branch on Saturday 15/12/18 with our dog who had developed very sore bloodshot eyes. We asked if someone could have a look at him and were told that we could only be seen as an “out of hours case” the closing time was 12 mid day and we arrived at 11:40. There was no one waiting, the door to the consulting room was open and to person inside (presumably the vet) was chatting to the receptionist, my wife asked the cost and we were told £45 ! We lef and visited another vet, we were seen at the next appointment (within 15 minutes) we had a diagnosis and medication within 5 minuets for Les than £45. It seems vets4pets Clifton’s first priority is extortion rather than “respect for pets”

Vet Response

I am sorry you did not have a good experience on Saturday. I have spoken to the members of staff involved regarding this matter. I am informed that the individuals arrived at 11.53am, they asked if they could be seen and were told yes, but that the consult fee maybe £45 as our last routine appointment had passed. D. Woolley then stated they would go to the other vets before the receptionist had time to speak to the vet and ask if the fee would be £45 or our standard fee. Our reception team is aware outside of our routine booked appointments an additional fee may be charged, but it is based on a case by case situation and is avoided where possible and fair to do so as I suspect so in this situation. The vet was still there and was writing up clinical notes, reporting results to clients etc and would have been happy to see the dog. We hope their dog is doing well. I am happy to discuss this should they wish to contact me.

I needed to put my kitty down due to FIP at Vets4Pets in Clifton a few days ago. He didn't get a sedative which was explained as a standard procedure. I did a bit of research afterwards (as my partner who was with the kitty until the end found the process very distressing) and my findings are that pets are usually given sedative before they are put to sleep. I'm still confused and a bit regretful I didn't do better for my kitty in his last moments. I paid £125 but it could have included consultation. The vet was lovely and very professional during the consultation. It's the euthanasia with no sedative which I'm not sure about...

Vet Response

We completely understand how difficult it is reaching the decision to put a pet to sleep particularly one so young. In all cases we try to give advice based on the individual case and our experience. I sincerely believe sedation was not the right option for Stefan. I am more than happy to discuss this in more detail if you would like to give me a call in the practice. We are thinking of you at this time.

An impressive depth of professional knowledge and experience is evident, but still obvious that they want each animal to get well and be as comfortable as possible. Top people, with excellent modern, clean facilities. Let down a bit by the card machine no

Pippa and Sarah have been treating my pets since the practice was taken over by Pippa, they are great vets and lovely people, the nurses and reception staff are friendly and helpful and I am always made to feel welcome, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Pippa Sarah and the team are quite simply 200% if not more in their friendly warm professional approach. I have always taken my 8 cats to cliftonvets4pets and always received the best advice. When my 16mth rescue dog was hit by a car I received an immediate app from Tracy the receptionist pippa gave us the best and worst seniario delivered with care, concern and empathy. She was honest and upfront about treatments, Care and cost. In true James Herriot style pip and Sarah, nurses have virtually restored robs leg to full working order!! This practice deserves some recognition for their dedication, Care, knowledge, amazing customer care friendliness oh I could go on. Pls give them an award for the best vets ever !!@
