I would not recommend this vets! I had my rabbit booked in to have a castration. The morning we dropped him off we got a lecture from the vet because we didn't bring enough food. He wasn't staying over night just needed food to make sure he eats before coming home so there was enough for that. I called after 1pm to see how he was doing then said we will pick him up about 4.30pm if possible but the receptioniship said you haven't booked to get him you need to book a time to collect him you should of booked a time slot. I was not informed of twhen I booked him in a week before to have the operation which really should of been mentioned by the receptionist when booking him in and a collection time. ( it is their job to give all info ) When I came to paid the £65 the young lady at reception said he needs to come in tomorrow for the vet to check him over. I asked if there was that was any extra cost she said no. When I returned on the Saturday the vet checked him and said I just need to give him 2 injections to just helps the gut ( she said she could hear that it was moving but to be on the safe side I will give them to him as we are only open for emergencies tomorrow as it's the weekend ) On my way out the receptionist said there is a charge for today. I was a bit taken back and explained I had asked if there was any extra charger for today. The lady just responded well he needed it. I explained the vet never explained there will be a charge for the injections before giving him them ( which is the right thing to do. What if you haven't got extra money.) Bottom line there is a lack of communication with this vets Not very well organised when it comes to arranging appointments and after care which it should be all explained when booking. No explaining extra cost on after care appoi tent when asked if there would be. Not a good experience here. Will not use again.

Vet Response

We apologise if you feel our communication was not up to its usual standard at the time of your visits. Please don't hesitate to contact the practice directly if you wish to discuss things further, as there are a few things mentioned here that we could try to help clarify for you. Kind regards, Vets4Pets Gloucester Barnwood

I have attended the Gloucester branch of Vets4Pets twice (third appointment pending) and each time I have found everything faultless. The reception team are polite and well organised. The waiting area is clean and well stocked with information. The vets are genuinely interested in our pet cat and have given us loads of advice about care and handling. Also, the services are very reasonably priced. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this branch of Pets4Vets to anyone with a pet.

Everyone there was very friendly and professional. Can not fault the service. When they were out of stock of ear drops my cat needed they gave me the name of a website I could buy them from cheaper, instead of waiting for them to order them in and pay more.

Took my pet rat here this year and the service is beyond what is expected. The vets are very knowledgeable and the staff are super friendly and genuinely concerned for my pet- i really appreciate the service I was given.
