A lovely friendly vetinary practice, the staff listen and are so good with my cat. I'm never over charged, they only recommend what is really needed and I think the staff do an amazing job! Thanks so much for your care and hard work.

My dog became ill in March 2016 and I came to Vets4Pets in St Paul's Road after being dissatisfied with another practice. Right from the off, the staff here were friendly, caring and efficient. This goes from the receptionist to the vets and nurses. My little Jack Russell, Spot, was cared for so well until I had to let her go, and so was I. She was given the very best of care and I was always treated with compassion and kindness. The thing that struck me most about every vet who saw her, Cees, Laura, Holly and Katya was the feeling that they were dealing with Spot as if she was their own pet. There was no feeling at all of anything less than the very best attempts to deal with her illness. Everything I was told about her condition, treatment and likely outcome was explained so well, with as much kindness and consideration as possible. If I was worried about costs, I was always put well at ease and everything was explained to me on that side too. The nursing staff were marvellous and the receptionists always dealt with me with the utmost kindness and understanding. And then when I finally had to say goodbye to my dog this week, the level of compassion just went up a notch and made that final decision, and coping with it all, so much easier. I can't speak highly enough of everybody at St Paul's Road, and also the Bretton surgery, who looked after Spot on a weekend when she had a crisis and had to be kept in for a couple of days. They all went above and beyond and I can't thank everyone enough.

This morning I had to have my very old and sick Labrador put to sleep. Cees Bennett was compassionat and fully explained why I was doing the right thing. The whole procedure was carried out with dignity down to wrapping him in his favourite blanket. I felt comfortable handing him over forcremtion. Thank you Cees for your professionalism. Pi g

I took my dog to cees for a second opinion as I was getting nowhere with my previous vet. Cees was fantastic brilliant communication thorough examination and within 20 mins located the point of pain and gave a thorough explanation of what was wrong and a plan of action was put into place. One very satifised person and one doggy finally on the road to recovery. Thank you cees and the vets for pets team

The team at St Pauls Road Peterborough are absolutely fantastic. I couldnt ask for a friendlier, more caring team than these guys. I trust my rats with them 110%. Nothing but praise. Can always get an appointment quickly, all options are discussed in detail and I feel so relaxed. Thank you so very much.

Fantastic vets, cess, laura and holly who I always see are the most professional, friendly and caring vets/people I have ever met. They have looked after all my animals with care and respect. All the receptionists and vet nurses are helpful and freindly, and can not thank them enough for what they have done in the past for me and my furry friends.

Visited vets4pets to simply have my hamster's overgrown front teeth trimmed. Staff was extremely friendly and professional but £80 bill for this basic treatment was a cold shower for me as it was estimated £40 before treatment. Staff was no longer that friendly when kindly asked why it's so expensive. I wonder what would be the price for anything more serious. (Thousands?) Very, very expensive. I would not attempt to visit them again without full insurance cover for my pet.
Vet ResponseIn this case the vet had thought to be able to perform a simple trim of the teeth and gave an estimate of £40. Unfortunately the hamster eventually required a general anaesthetic to be able to perform the full dental procedure and this ended up costing almost £80. The communication of this became difficult due to a language barrier, but in the best interests of the animal the decision was made to proceed. All work is given an estimate and our vets will work very hard to remain within these. If circumstances change this will be fully discussed with the client.
