I cannot praise the Birley Moor Road branch of Vets4Pets enough along with their wonderful friendly & professional staff. Unfortunately, on Saturday 13th April I had to say goodbye to my cat Sasha, my little friend, companion & soul mate for 19 years. I was devastated, but the honesty, care & compassion shown by the vet ALEX and his reassurances that I was doing the kindest thing I could for her helped me to get through this awful time. I was given as much as I needed with her to say goodbye, both before and after her injection and for this I will be forever grateful, Thank You so much. I would recommend this Vets to everyone, the respect and love they show for your precious pets is amazing!

All the team from Tom and Gill, the nurses and receptionists are so caring, patient and kind. We have had various rescue greyhounds registed with the practice since Sept 2011. From them needing xrays, blood tests and surgery to try to save our pets from the inevitable, they are so compassionate caring professional and kind. We have had 2 dogs with cancerous tumours, that we had to say goodbye to, and they were so caring. We recently had our gh Bo who was losing weight rapidly within 3 weeks of coming to the vets he died at home during the night with our other 2 dogs laid at the side of him, we haven't a car, John has had a heart attack so advised not to drive, and we were stuck fast as to how we could get him up to the vets for a check over and to organise a cremation and ashes, and the receptionist said she would fetch him with her own car. That was beyond her duties, but caring she came with another girl and they took him with John on to his final journey. Our eldest Rosie who is 12 now is very nervous of bangs, so we need to see if there is any tranquillisers she can have, to save scrambling behind the settee and shivering until the last firework has finished. We have tried sprays, plug in and they haven't worked. We have an appt next week. We can't thank the team enough for caring for our animals when we needed them most.

I contacted the vets on Monday morning as one of my cats had an accident and needed to see if stitches were needed, I must admit I was in a bit of a state, they were really busy but managed to squeeze us in after work, we saw the female vet, I'm so sorry I was in such a state I didn't get her name, she was absolutely fabulous with Piper and us, I was a mess asking her not to hurt him and asking if he would be ok. She was so kind to Piper, gentle and reassuring. I just trusted her immediately and so did he. He needed an operation the following day, he was admitted and I left, they called to say he was ok and I collected him the same day. I am taking him back 48 hours later (today) for a quick check up at their request. I cannot praise the staff at this vets enough, they looked after our precious boy ( and a very upset me ) so well. I would recommend them to anyone. From Piper and us, thank you so so much :-)

After 16 years my Tia was suffering badly. The care and thought shown by the practice was second to none. She was put to sleep in my arms allowing her to be loved as she past away. My deepest thanks to all staff for making her last moments painless and serene.

We had to unfortunately bring our beloved dog in to be put to sleep which was such a difficult situation but from the initial appointment we we're given support and reasurance that we were doing the right thing. My daughter's have additional needs which made the whole situation difficult to process but staff were understanding, offered additional visits and opportunities to visit the practice and staff to help them prepare. On the day we were supported by amazing staff who were patient, compassionate and just made the situation easier and a positive memory. The room was tastefully decorated, the whole experience was respectful and felt that staff were dedicated and considerate, we as a family and our beloved dog was treated with such care and love. Thankyou to Emma and Sally.

I have been going to this vet for the past year with my dog and each time I enter the door I am always greeted with a smile and my dog always feels comfortable as they go that extra mile to do so. I would recommend this vet to anyone who asks, I am so grateful to be part of a very kind and lovely vet ☺️
