Several issues here. 1) I didn’t feel at all like the vet cared for my cat. 2) I called in and told them I thought my cat was pregnant, and wanted to find out, was told that would be £40 and to come in the next day for the consultation. During this consultation, I told the vet I thought my cat was pregnant, to which she said “maybe, let’s wait and see” or I could have an ultrasound for another £80. Basically spent £40 to be told exactly what I had told the vet! 3) my cat came home with FLEAS. She has been de-flead and house has been flea bombed TWICE and she has now had her kittens and STILL the fleas come back. Furious isn’t the word. AVOID VETS 4 PETS AT ALL COSTS.
Thank you for your feedback and the opportunity to reply to your concerns. Feedback offers us the genuine chance to consider the service we offer and reflect on all of our client interactions.
I'm sorry you feel the vet in question didn't care for your cat. I have discussed this fully with the vet involved, who was surprised and shocked by your feedback as this is at complete odds to the vets recollections and clinical notes. Needless to say your feedback has upset the vet but nonetheless has been taken on board.
I'm also sorry that you feel disgruntled about us taking the time to discuss your cats current clinical situation, what can be done to accurately confirm your cats presumed pregnancy and how to prepare at home for the potential arrival of kittens. Likewise I'm sorry for your misunderstanding that we would feel it proper and correct to charge an appropriate amount for our time, expertise and genuine interest in your cats welfare.
Finally regarding your cats flea problem, I welcome the opportunity to outline to you the steps we take to ensure our practice remains flea free at all times irrespective of how many cats are presented to us on a daily basis that are actively infested themselves with fleas. Twice daily every inch of floor surface is thoroughly vacuumed, mopped and disinfected. Twice daily every empty animal cage is thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and dried. All occupied animal cages are scrupulously checked by our nursing team on an hourly basis. On a weekly basis every floor surface, every work surface and every wall surface is deep cleaned with special machines and good old fashioned elbow grease. On a monthly basis, despite being more frequently than recommended by the manufacturers, our entire practice is treated to a complete environmental flea spray fumigation.
I have tried to call you to discuss all of the above. I have left you a voice message as you didnt answer. I would love to reassure you that we have taken your feedback seriously.
