I have used a few vets over the years due to living in different areas. Vets4Pets in Dunbarton has to be the one place I can honestly recommend with the highest marks on each thing asked in this. Why?? Because from the minute you arrive in the clean open area, your welcomed by the staff, who know you and your dogs by name, even if they are not expecting you. Everyone is always happy to help and nobody is ever turned away. They all take an interest in the pets and ask about family. The .oment you go in the surgery, not one of our dogs are scared to go in, if anything, they are excited to see the nurses and vets. Everyone is put at ease and again welcoming. All our dogs have all been been tested as though they belonged to the staff, with so much love and care. When we have had the devastating task of the animals to be euthanased, they have all cried with us. All our dogs have been looked after since pups so the practice do become attached to the animals they have come through their doors to treat. They are also not all about the cost. Yes they charge but it's all done with the individual owner and pet in mind. They have helped us over time when payment are due or if we had a number of animals to be treated, they always give you the best deal. As a professional, they all know their stuff, which helps again with the financial side because when I ha e wanted scans or x-rays due to a worry, they will advise you in a manner that's not patronising. If it's not needed they say to you and also explain the cost of something is not worth it. They have never got it wrong and ha e saved us a tin of cash by being this way. Their knowledge is amazing and very rarely refer to books or the internet, however the will look it up and be honest if they don't know something. If they can't get the answer by research, they will happily ask a more senior member of staff and bring them in to help give us a better idea and understanding. Through the cancer of our d girl, they would explain everything, even when she was put to sleep, Stuart explained everything as he was doing it and why he was doing it, from start to finish. They spoke to Cleo throughout the process too, chatting away about her life, how the staff were all also sad and loved her and how upset they were. This helped us as a family because it showed us how serious they all are at their job. The patience they gave us to sit with her afterwards, again we were given time alone with her. When it was time to go they had given her a blanket to cosy her up in and promised they would look after her and call us when she was back, which we received tonight..Thanks to them our girl and our other four living dogs have been well looked after and we will always recommend them to everyone them to everyone we know and anyone who will ask. Ciara has built what our family think ARE the best vets in Scotland and probably the UK.
