I have used a few vets over the years due to living in different areas. Vets4Pets in Dunbarton has to be the one place I can honestly recommend with the highest marks on each thing asked in this. Why?? Because from the minute you arrive in the clean open area, your welcomed by the staff, who know you and your dogs by name, even if they are not expecting you. Everyone is always happy to help and nobody is ever turned away. They all take an interest in the pets and ask about family. The .oment you go in the surgery, not one of our dogs are scared to go in, if anything, they are excited to see the nurses and vets. Everyone is put at ease and again welcoming. All our dogs have all been been tested as though they belonged to the staff, with so much love and care. When we have had the devastating task of the animals to be euthanased, they have all cried with us. All our dogs have been looked after since pups so the practice do become attached to the animals they have come through their doors to treat. They are also not all about the cost. Yes they charge but it's all done with the individual owner and pet in mind. They have helped us over time when payment are due or if we had a number of animals to be treated, they always give you the best deal. As a professional, they all know their stuff, which helps again with the financial side because when I ha e wanted scans or x-rays due to a worry, they will advise you in a manner that's not patronising. If it's not needed they say to you and also explain the cost of something is not worth it. They have never got it wrong and ha e saved us a tin of cash by being this way. Their knowledge is amazing and very rarely refer to books or the internet, however the will look it up and be honest if they don't know something. If they can't get the answer by research, they will happily ask a more senior member of staff and bring them in to help give us a better idea and understanding. Through the cancer of our d girl, they would explain everything, even when she was put to sleep, Stuart explained everything as he was doing it and why he was doing it, from start to finish. They spoke to Cleo throughout the process too, chatting away about her life, how the staff were all also sad and loved her and how upset they were. This helped us as a family because it showed us how serious they all are at their job. The patience they gave us to sit with her afterwards, again we were given time alone with her. When it was time to go they had given her a blanket to cosy her up in and promised they would look after her and call us when she was back, which we received tonight..Thanks to them our girl and our other four living dogs have been well looked after and we will always recommend them to everyone them to everyone we know and anyone who will ask. Ciara has built what our family think ARE the best vets in Scotland and probably the UK.

I attended the practice yesterday as an emergency with a friend who's dog had been severely injured whilst on a walk. The response from staff was immediate. Sadly despite valiant efforts my friends dog did not survive his injuries were too severe. However I have to say the service from the team was both professional and compassionate in what was a very traumatic situation. Thank you all and I know I speak for my friend.

I moved to Vets for Pets in Dumbarton about 5 years ago after I lost confidence in my previous vet. I am very glad I made the move. The staff are all very friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. Thank you for taking such good care of my wee cats. Would highly recommend Vets for Pets in Dumbarton.

Been with this practice since they opened. I have nothing but praise for the staff, from the girls on reception, to the nurses and then the vets. Caira is an amazing, kind and gentle vet, as is Stuart. They have been amazing from when we have had our dogs in and out with cancer, having puppies and sadly when we lost our dogs. The sympathetic regards toward us has been way more than I expected, the dignity towards the pet and the help when having them cremated. They even send sympathy cards and cried with us when it has come to the decision of euthanasia. I cannot fault this practice and have the utmost respect and gratitude for all the time they have recently given us with all the puppies our girl had. The last four months have been hectic but they have been helpful as always.

Brilliant practice Been going to this practice since Gunner was 8 weeks old Clean friendly knowledgable and professional practice and staff Emma gives gunner time to settle before examining him Ciara took him for his X-rays and I was worried she put my mind at rest that he'd be fine and of course he was From the moment you enter the receptionist make you feel at ease and Very welcome nothing is a bother Would highly recommend this practice as I would never go to another again

All the staff at Vets4Pets Dumbarton are amazing at what they do, we can’t thank them enough for everything they done for our boy, Mika Gow. Mika absolutely loved all the staff and we know he will be very grateful for everything you all done for him. He still had a smile on his face and his tail wagging right up until the end. The staff gave loads of attention and love towards Mika, always asking after him, giving him plenty of cuddles and making sure he was comfortable and relaxed every time he was in at the vet. Stuart, Cara, Emma and Gill are fantastic at their jobs and had a lot of time for Mika, as a family we want to say a special to you four, especially for over the past 10 months, without all your help and kindness we might not have got the extra 10 months with Mika.
