We have been taking Kala here for 4 years and it's great. The vets really care about the pets and they have taken care of Kala through a number of tough operations. They take the time to explain what's wrong and it makes a big difference. The fact they are also open on weekends makes it very easy to find a suitable appointment. I would recommend this clinic

Have sent a report to head office. I asked for a drink for my dog as pink bowl on floor was empty. Already told vets at home that outside bowls were empty. when lady in pink tracksuit brought drink back she was accompanied by someone in navy uniform who quite aggressively told me that bowls outside were the shops responsibility, not the vets. I said Yes, and I have mentioned it and they are sorting it out so came back here to get drink for dog. She then proceeded to inform me that vets4pets are not obliged supply water, but if asked would get a drink for dog. I said I had asked, then she said that portable water bottles were available to buy. I said I had those but as I was coming to the pet shop early (9.30 a.m.) didn't bother to bring everything with me. I said I did not expect lecture after asking for a drink for my dog, and would ask in any shop if I though it necessary. A few raised eyebrows by customers there.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Vets4Pets Old Kent Road. Whilst I appreciate that you were disappointed with the lack of shared water facilities available within the Pets at Home store, unfortunately this is an issue outside of our control as the practice is separate to the store. As a practice, however, we aim to reduce the spread of illness and for this reason, we try not to have multiple dogs using the same water bowl in our reception area. Our receptionists are more than happy to provide a clean, fresh bowl of water for your pet when you arrive if you would like. I apologise if this was unclear when you first came in and we will look at creating a sign for reception explaining this. With regards to your interactions with our team, I am sorry that you perceived the way staff tried to explain our concerns regarding shared water bowls and the alternative we provide as a lecture, this was not our intention, rather, we strive to provide a friendly and personal service for both our clients and their pets.

We took our cat in for a first visit and saw Chloe. She took time to answer all our questions, didn’t make us feel rushed and did a thorough check up. Very friendly service, helpful advice and reassured that our pet is in good hands.

We saw Chloe for our first bunny health check and vaccinations for our two rabbits. She was super amazing with our rabbits and us too! She was very friendly and reassuring, answered all our questions and was really friendly and respectful of the rabbits and us. Would be very happy to recommend her :) :)

Registered and taken my cat for some routine check-ups. The staff working there always offered me the support and advice I needed since I am a first-time cat owner. On top of that, reception staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. Shout out to Dragos from Old Kent Road who provided me such a great and professional service, I was more than impressed. Lovely doctor! Really happy that my kitten is in very capable hands.

I've been using the practice since 2015 and all vets have been wonderful and kind to my pet. Easy and prompty to assist at any time, personal and care about my pet and her health. In the past few months the practice has been letting us down and today I had a very disappointing consultation. I must say that really depends on which vet is your appointment with (it seems that unfortunately the vet from today is not as often at the practice) and I assure that there are many wonderful there, but the vet who saw my pet today was unkind and rude when I asked simple questions about my pet's health, I don't even know if I should trust on her judgment about my pet as I didn't feel that she was willing to help, she looked like in a rush to finish her shift or extremely busy to deal which looks like a simple problem with my dog. I hope the practice can catch up and provide the service that they used to which were always great.

We are very sorry to hear you were not completely satisfied with this visit to us. You saw a locum vet on this occasion who was covering for a permanent vet and we have taken your feedback into account should we need a locum in the future. We welcome all feedback as we strive to consistently provide the highest level of service to all our patients and clients, as you have obviously experienced up to this point. I have tried to contact you to discuss how we can best remedy this, but have not been able to reach you. Please contact us at the practice direct and ask to speak to the Head Vet should you be happy to discuss this with us.

Mixed reviews about this place. I had to take my guniea pig here about a bump on his head and the vet who looked at him was young and nervous and didn’t seem or spoke confidently. I left not feeling comfortable about the vets comments, recommendations or about the practice. The second time I had to bring him back I had a different vet who seemed to know what she was talking about, was confident holding him and was lovely. I really do feel if I had seen the second vet he would still be here now or would have had less of a painful few months with us. I really don’t think you should allow your vets to see exotic pets unless they 100% feel comfortable with them rather than just fitting us in. The first vet even brought a towel out to hold him which kind of said it all. Should this not be mandatory practise? Book the correct vet for the pet? So for that reason double check who you book with and if you don’t feel confident with the vet at the time say, unlike I did.

We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied after your first visit to us. We take pride in offering the highest standards of care to all our patients and clients and encourage direct feedback to the practice should there be any concern or query. All of our vets are fully qualified to treat small animals, including guinea pigs and all are experienced in doing this regularly. Using a towel to handle a guinea pig is not necessary in the majority of cases, but can be used where needed. Please do feel free to contact us directly to discuss your comments as, due to this being a public forum we cannot impinge on your client confidentiality by discussing the details of this case here, however, we would be very happy to talk through things with you directly if you would like to.

I just joined the care plan for my dog The receptionist who I thinks name was Wendy was so helpful and friendly. The vet checked over my dog thoroughly And gave gave him all that he needed. I felt really welcomed and so did my dog, this is something that I didn't receive from my last vets.

I have to say after receiving such bad service a couple of weeks ago with the Groom Room. The service today 17.04.17 from Kingsley and store Manager Dan have assured me that I shall still use the store and it's Service. I also have to add the Staff at the Vets department at Old Kent Road are so professional and ALWAYS friendly! Thank you Dan and Kingsley for reassuring me today of how customer service is conducted at Pets at Home on Old Kent Road. Many Thanks
