We would encourage any pet owner to attend socialising visits at Your Vets. Our Jack Russell Bitch who is only a young Dog was such a nervous little Dog, She hid from people visiting our house, she was nervous out walking & lacked trust even though she has never been ill treated. We have taken her to a number of socialising visits at Your Vets, Sheldon, she is now a confident little Dog, she no longer hides, she is confident on the lead but most importantly she is engaging with Human beings much, much better, she loves other Dogs and is very gentle with them too.We are proud to say she now loves going out with us to socialise, we recently went to a family BBQ where she interacted with lots of people & she is best friends with my Brothers Dog! The Socialising visits have brought out the best in her. All the staff, Vets & Nurses at Your Vets have been so kind to us & Rosie our Dog. Emma and Luke two of the Nurses have been amazing with Rosie, gentle with her and encouraging her, this has helped build her trust up massively! A few weeks ago our Dog had Spay surgery at Your Vets, she could not have been looked after better anywhere else! The after care was brilliant. Rosie still attends her socialising visits, once a week, this helps her to understand that going to the Vets is not just for nasty things like surgery , injections etc.
Rosie now really enjoys the visits, she looks upon the Nurses as Friends & even gives Emma a kiss or two!! We really are so glad we have been taking Rosie to the socialising visits as she is now more trusting and she has got loads more confidence.
We are so grateful to everyone at Your vets for helping Rosie to achieve this, especially to the two Nurses who have been fantastic with Rosie, Emma and Luke, a huge thank you to you both from Karen and Peter and if Rosie could talk she would thank you herself!! but she will give you a kiss anyway.
