have been with this vets for 30 years, absolutely disgusted with paying £17.50 for nails to be cut for each small dog especially when they only needed to cut the front claws on one dog, guess we are going elsewhere for all our veterinary needs from now on

The first time I came to this vets was just this week, and it was unfortunately to have my cat, Oscar, put down. My family had in the past had a dispute with another vets in the area regarding insurance, so we were so happy with Ashworth’s dealing of our sad situation! I was in such a state having to say goodbye to my cat, but the vet, Rachael, gave me as much time as I needed and really consoled me. Outstanding service. I didn’t need to sort anything out that day, I could ring them and sort it whenever I wanted to as they understood how losing a pet can hurt someone. Even when we came to collect our Oscar they didn’t expect any money from us, only to make sure we were okay! I even sent a card in gratitude to the vet in particular, and I just received a card back with their condolences and a small pack of Forget Me Nots to plant in Oscar’s memory. Overwhelmed with their kindness. Couldn’t recommend this Vets enough

One of our cats was recently diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (cancer of the mouth). I have nothing but praise for the entire practice - clinical staff and otherwise - who treated humans and cat with respect, sympathy, and dignity throughout. Our cat is no longer with us; the help and support that the vet and others gave helped us to make decisions in the best interests of our cat, friend, and family member. Thank you all. You could not do better than this veterinary practice.

AShworth Vets in Cove are without doubt the best vetinary team i have come across. nothing is an issue for them, they are always at the end of the phone for basic of advice. when i take my cat to them for what ever reason they are always polite, professional and always give the utmost respect and care for both myself and my cat. in an emergency ive had they gave the best advice, luckily during working hours so they sorted my cat out with no inconveience to anyone atall. i cannot thank the staff there for the outstanding work that they do!

Have been with this practice for over 17 yrs with varying species etc. Have seen many vets and changes, without encountering any problems, always accessible for appointments. My reason for writing this review is that over this weekend our old dog was seriously ill and not thought to survive, however, through emergency referral to Vets Now and continuity of care with one of the vets, fingers crossed our dog is still with us and with quality of life, thank you.

Really friendly professional service. Genuinely have your pet's best interests at heart. Been with them for 4 years and despite a house move , I simply would not change. Highly recommend!

We have been going to Ashworths in Cove for over 10 years now. Primarily, I was registered with my German Shepherd Dog, Brock and now my Siberian Husky, Teyah. Every visit has been professional and yet friendly at the same time, the surgery is very clean and calming. Quite recently, Ashworth's helped me to say goodbye to my beloved Brock, he was 14 years old and I must say that Ashworths were very friendly, patient and understanding. We took Brock on a Saturday, near to closing time but we were not rushed whatsoever. Once Brock had been injected, the staff left the room to give us space and the opportunity to say our goodbyes to Brock. It was very peaceful and respectful at the same time. As Ashworths have compassion, they were not insistent that we settled our bill there and then, they allowed us time to grieve. Ashworth's did introduce us to Dignity Pet Crem who then took care of Brock to help him on to the Rainbow Bridge. I have no hesitation in recommending Ashworths, as mentioned, Teyah is registered with them and I'm currently going through an application with a GSD rescue centre as I'm looking to adopt another German Shepherd.

We joined Ashworth Vets nearly a year ago now having moved into the area and been recommended by friends. We have had occasion to go there a number of times firstly for our young Labradoodle who is proving to be rather high maintenance in the minor ailments area. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful and are always delighted to see our dog (very excitable) the only dog I know who positively enjoys her vet visits but this is due in some part to the lovely amotsphere created and the fact that the staff are so great. We also recently lost our beloved 15 year old cat and the staff did all they could to help our poorly girl and were so kind and thoughtful. In addition Ashworth are running client information evenings which are imformative, friendly and a great way to find out about interesting topics. All in all I cannot praise them highly enough and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I have been coming here for a few years now and cannot thank all the staff for the manner in which they have looked after all my animals. The ladies on reception are always welcoming, the nurses are really nice and good at what they do. I have seen a number of vets over the years and they have always been kind and caring and very professional. If it wasn't for their quick action my golden retriever Bailey could have died after being bitten by a snake. Earlier this year our 16 year old labrador Molly became poorly and had several consultations all the vets treated her kindly and when the hour came to put her to sleep they helped her go calmly and peacefully. I would thoroughly recommend this practice as I feel the needs of the animal is in the fore front and not profit as in some other practices.
