A big thank you to Matt (Vet) and Matt (nurse) for everything, kindness, advice, and the phone calls regarding our lovely Lottie, but sadly nothing could be done for Lottie and we had to say goodbye to her yesterday 24/02/2019.thank you both for being there xx

This weekend our Ten month old Chocolate Lab started an eye infection. During Saturday evening and Sunday morning it just got worse and worse oozing green pus. I realised he needed treating rather than leaving it until Monday but when. Rung the vets which we are registered with, I got the rudest of vets . I rung for advice as any responsible dog owner would. I was made to feel ignorant and a time waster. My husband s and suggested I ring Eastgate vets as he heard they would see a pet even if it wasn't your usual practice: well what a difference . Friendly , knowledgable and supportive My son and I drove to abury st Eds and saw a vet who was absolutely superb. Came away thinking , so glad I found this vets now rather than a few years down the line . Changing to Eastgate vets tomorrow. My Monty is too important in my life to not have the best

I have to say I was originally with another local vet,, who when I took my rescue into for checks was so rude and horrible I left! She didn't agree that rescuing a dog from Cyprus was the correct thing to do! Needless to say I was abit cautious about going to another vet after this reaction,,, but Eastgate Vets and all the staff have been fabulous, professional and extremely friendly. Both my dogs are registered there now and I would recommend them to anyone who has any pets. It shouldn't matter where you rescue a dog from, it's the fact a dog has been saved from being PTS,,, what is important. I love going to Eastgate with my dogs,,,, and what I find is that all the owners feels the same,, it's like a little social club, everyone is so friendly and each member of staff acknowledges your pet. Top marks for a wonderful practice, staff and service.

The team at the bury branch are fantastic, so friendly helpful and caring towards your pets needs. The puppy classes are well run and a great help for your first time pet. Nothing is too much trouble for them they help you over the phone and answer all queries, concerns you may have. My dog muttley is so excitable and loves the attention all staff give him. Cannot thank them enough! Amazing place and staff!

Absolutely great with Oyster, my last Guide Dog as well as with Willow, my current one. They've always been great with routine checks as well as the odd emergency - can't speak highly enough of them!

I only started going to Eastgate Vets a year ago and I wish I had done so earlier. For many reasons: - they are not cheap but they are still way cheaper than my previous vet. - they care. I feel like my moggies are in the hands of people who love animals. - the few times I had a fight-related emergency, I was able to have an appointment first thing in the morning. - the vets are friendly and very good at explaining why they do what they do. - the practice is generally excellent at communicating useful info, on boards in the waiting room but also on their Facebook page. - the concept of vaccination amnesty says it all. It's about the animals first. I can only recommend Eastgate Vets surgery, they are really very good.

We joined Eastgate last year after feeling unhappy at last vets in Bury St Eds, and boy are we pleased we moved. Our poor Max has had mast cell tumours on and off for 5 years now, and lo and behold another one raised its ugly head again last spring...Eastgate vets dealt amazingly with it, he was so much better after this op! We were amazed at the difference! Alas, the original tumour reappeared in his throat, Sarah was excellent, helped us tackle it sideways on and tried steroids..all worked well and then operated on. We have since dealt with him and diabetes! Many phone calls to Eastgate, and we have never felt it was a problem. Now the tumour has come back for the third and final time, we know we are looking at borrowed time which makes us all very sad, but the support Sarah has given us has been amazing. I have recommended them to several friends.
