I took my African Grey Parrot 'Spock' to see this vet for the first time. I found the vet Sergio extremely knowledgable of this species. He explained everything in a way I could understand and answered all my questions. I have never seen my parrot so calm in the hands of a stranger. The surgery was spotless and the reception staff were extremely polite and helpful. I would highly recommend this vetinary surgery .

Really impressed with vet David tonight. Not seen him before. All vets at Manor have always been patient with our dog Jake. Taking care to ensure he's not too stressed during injections and examinations. David tonight (despite it being late) didn't rush us as we explained Jakes history. He listened patiently and wasn't at all critical when he mentioned Jake being overweight. Just took care to explain health benefits of losing a couple of kilo. Receptionists are really friendly and made sure we had a quieter time so there weren't too many big dogs around as he's not keen on them. I quite honestly wouldn't go anywhere else. Really really pleased x BIG thank you x

I have never come across a more caring, accommodating or understanding vet as David. He has saved the life of two of my dogs on more than one occasion and always goes out of his way to help, even on days he isn't working. He is honest, does not prescribe unnecessarily and will always recommend what he genuinely believes is best. The other vets I have encountered at Manor are also very caring and always have the best interest of the animals at heart. I would never take my animals elsewhere; I am moving to Belgium in the summer yet will still make trips back if my dogs require special treatment as my trust is so high with this practice.

Overall, we can always say that we have received a sterling service with regards to our Owls. In the past we had to travel a long way to see Mr Forbes in Kenilworth. Having an experienced Vet(s) in the borough makes dealing with sick birds less stressful for both owner and bird. Sadly, following an x-ray taken after treatment it was clear that our Taz was in serious trouble with the foot we thought was ok. It was clear that Taz`s joints were crumbling - unbeknown to us. Ordinarily, you cant always tell when an animal is in pain. It was awful news - a birds feet are essential to their well being, and to think she has been in pain for some time has made us concerned for all our Owls. We have 7 Eagle Owls and apart from a youngster they are all around 20 years old. My only regret was that an x-ray wasn't done prior to treatment. Maybe we could have made the decision that in the long term it was better for Taz to be put to sleep. Its not that we cant manage the pain for her - its about her ability to move around and do what Owls do. As humans, we know what its like to be in pain with arthritis, add to that long cold and damp English winters. For the time being Taz is enjoying the comfort of a warm kitchen and a soft, spongy bed to rest her sore bones on. But its not practical to keep an Eagle Owl in a house. We are not sure what the answer is for Taz..... We are grateful for the expertise and professionalism of all the staff at Manor Vets in B`ham.
