I moved to this practice as I was dissatisfied with my local vets and my animals (a dog and a cat) have been cared for kindly and efficiently by a good team of experienced people here for a number of years. Recently, very sadly, I had to terminate my dearly loved very old, little dog's life. The respect, kindness and gentleness of both the vet and the nurse and the receptionist with whom I had several telephone conversations, was really amazing. We are so very grateful to them for helping ease the pain our little dog was suffering and helping us as a family with giving her a good and peaceful passing. This is a very good vets.

1. Lateness. Appointments are consistently late. I understand that clinics can run late, but what particularly annoyed me: once another customer who was booked at 9 15 was seen before me....and I was booked at 9 00. Also, the reception staff are extremely slow at processing payments and any other queries. I have waited over 15 min just to have a receipt printed. The first time this happened, I was very understanding as the receptionist was new. Her first week on the job. 1 month later....same thing. Long wait to have a receipt printed. I eventually asked the receptionist to email it me. Obviously it was never email. 2. Lack of advice and information. For several months now we have been told that Coco, our senior cat is overweight. When my husband asked for advice on how best to handle her weight problem (because despite our best efforts there were no changes); one of the vets told us 'its hard... you just need to keep trying'. (very helpful. thank you!) We did our own research online and found different diets to help with our cat's weight management. Since March, our cat has been there at least 4 - 5 times. NOT ONCE did any vet give us actual advice on how we could change her diet or offer alternatives to what we were feeding her. I did contemplate moving to another vet. The only reason we stayed on was because of the convenient location. That being said, at our last appointment, Kostas was very informative. But we came prepared with all a list of the different diets we had found online. Kostas also spotted a heart murmur. We are grateful for the diligent service he provided. And would like our Coco to see him from now on.
Vet ResponseWe pride ourselves on providing genuine care and an exceptional service to all of the pets that visit us so we were sorry to hear about your mixed experience with us. Thank you for giving us the time to talk through your concerns we really appreciated the opportunity to put it right for you. We are pleased that we have since worked together to put a diet plan in place to help Coco manage her weight. I know that our Head Nurse is talking with diet specialists to ensure that Coco continues to be on the optimum nutritional support for her health needs. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions for Kostas about Cocos ongoing health.

It is easy to find things to say if there is anything to criticise but there isn't. I am sad that you no longer offer board for cats, since your rebuild but that is the only thing I miss.

just came from your surgery to be told that I was not booked in with my dog. I have been booked in for weeks and I came last Friday with another of my dogs. looks like I will have to find another vet that will see me when I am booked in. to be told I would have to wait 40mins before I see some one not on. My beautiful Bicardi was treated by the team with very special care and attention for nearly 20 months, they were wonderful. Particular thanks must go to Tracey, Claire, Alexandra and Helen. Thank you to all of you for giving us 20 months of extra purrs and for all you did for Bicardi which often exceeded your calls of duty.

My cat has recently been diagnosed with lymphoma and him being my baby I have been frantic. The nurse and vets and receptions staff (especially, Helen, Claire and Sam who I have been mainly delaing with) are just superb. They understand that a pet is part of your family and don't make you feel silly for crying on almost every visit! They are accommodating for visits when the pets are in to stay and happy to talk or call if you have a concern at any time. They have been fantastic helping me with my insurers and I cannot thank them enough. I know my boy has been in the best possible hands. Ele

We've been bringing our moggy for ten years and have always been happy with everything at Streatham Hill. We've seen plenty of changes in that time, all positive!
