My little (big) boy Milo passed away unexpectedly at the age of 11 1/2 years. Apart from a couple of years where he was treated by a Veterinary Practice more concerned about selling than treating your friend - sorry the word Pet doesn't do justice to the bond we have with our companions. Whether it was due to my relaxed state with Vegard or just the atmosphere in the Practice Milo just took to him. Vegard has a wonderful "bedside manner" he is quietly spoken. Milo would just stand there and let Vegard just get on with his job, whether it was jabs to checking Milo's joints. Dogs are astute animals and know who to trust. As an owner he gives you options where I know other Practices only tell you only the most profitable. The rest of the Practice are just as good - the Reception Team are fab and seemingly unflappable. The same goes for the other members of the clinical team (apart from one locum who Milo was not keen on at all) If you are looking for somewhere to take care of your boy or girl with gentleness and respect then V4P in Beeston is the place to go.

I have been coming to Vets for Pets for the last 7years, with my cat Teddy, and Vegard Tormodstrud, is a fantastic vet, he is professional, and treats my cat with the utmost respect, I have used all other vets, in and around Beeston, and would not trust any other vet but Vegard

Having had to make a difficult decision to have our beloved dog euthanised the lovely vet at Beeston showed us care, respect and utter professionalism. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him . Thanks for your kindness for the last few years of Cleos life.

I brought Ginger to see Luis the vet last Friday 2nd November. She has asthma and often needs an injection every 2 to 3 months. This was a little sooner than expected as she started coughing again in the week. Luis was very thorough and thoughtful. He was kind but firm with Ginger which was reassuring. He gave me some excellent advice about moving a cat to a new home, which made me feel happier about the move. I really appreciated everything he did and feel fortunate that a vetinary practice such as this one exists.

Just paid £9 for a prescription for a one off treatment for fleas for my 2 cats. Previously I have had a repeat prescription which lasts for 6 months so I can re-order the medication. Clearly normal flea treatments aren't working for my cats hence the need for a stronger one on prescription. Just found out that I can only use the prescription once and it cannot be repeated as they haven't seen my cat since January 2018. I am not asking for heart medication, I'm asking for a flea treatment! So to get a repeat I need to bring my cat to the surgery (at what cost I don't know - the receptionist couldn't tell me!) so they can see him. I think just a money making exercise and I will be finding another vet for my 2 cats. What a rip off.
Vet ResponseThe cat in question was seen at the practice in January 2018 to clip off some matted fur, as a nurse consult. The last time the cat was examined by a vet was in July 2017. As a gesture of goodwill to a longstanding client, I issued a 6-month prescription for Stronghold. As it is a POM-V I can only prescribe medication for a cat that is under my care and for F&W treatment I believe it is reasonable to say the patient needed to be examined on an annual basis. This has been explained to the client.

Staff were so kind and helpful during an emergency visit for my cat. My cat passed away but the staff were so so lovely and had so much respect for my cat, myself and my family. Can't thank them enough and I highly recommend the Beeston branch.

Fantastic, respectful, dignified, caring, thoughtful...etc! I wouldn't go anywhere else. The process of putting my dog Tia to sleep, was so brilliantly handled. I didn't feel ready to bring her ashes home until 6 weeks after her passing and at no point was any pressure put upon me to make it any earlier. So much respect paid to Tia and myself.
