I telephoned the vet yesterday as my elderly dog was unwell. Due to the current situation with coronavirus I was given a telephone appointment later in the day. The lady vet I spoke to was very friendly, helpful and professional. She understood the problem and prescribed some medication. When she found out that we were a household who was shielding a vulnerable person she offered to drop the medication off at our door on her way home from work, which she did. This is definitely over an above what what I expected of her and I was truly grateful. I didn’t catch her name but as the medication was prescribed by Ruth Ward I assume that is the lady I have to thank. As an added bonus Jasper is already responding to the treatment. Thanks again

Our cat Smudge has been a regular visitor to the practice over the last few years with some random skin condition that could flare up at seemingly a moment's notice and have him looking like the RSPCA would have something to say about our care of him within 24 hours! When we needed an emergency appointment one evening, we were fitted in so that Smudge didn't have to wait until the following day. Stephen has always been amazing with him (and us) and when Smudge developed a heart condition which didn't respond to medication, had ample supplies of tissues for the difficult days where tough decisions had to made about Smudge's quality of life. On the final visit, we were given all the time we needed to say goodbye and the process was explained to us with options for what happened afterwards given. The process was as painless as it could be for Smudge and for us and we weren't just rushed out of the room once Smudge had gone. It was a lovely touch to receive a condolence card a few days later (although it made me howl!) We definitely feel that Smudge was treated as a much loved family member by the practice and not just a 'customer'. Thank you Denton Vets4Pets team :)

Charging 11 pounds for a 30 second nail clipping while my cat was in for a 34 pound consultation anyway is over the top in my opinion. Plus charging 13 pound for a human laxative for the cat which is twice the price that a shop would charge, again is over the top. I did query the charges, but was told that that is what they charge, end of.

My miniature daschund presented with a number of medical problems, starting with diabetes. When further tests were done it was noted that he had bladder stones. Oscar went in for major surgery but I cannot fault the professionalism of Stephen the vet and all the nurses. I would like to give a special mention to Gill the trainee veterinary nurse, she always goes the extra mile with your pet, and my otherwise nervous dog has built quite a rapport with her. I can honestly say I cannot rate this vets more highly.
