Our dog has been a patient at Durham Vets4Pets since he was 9 weeks old, and he died on Monday aged 12yrs & 10mths. We have nothing but praise for all of the vets, nurses and receptionists here. I have never felt that profit has come before patient care, indeed sometimes I have asked about a specific treatment and if the vet has felt it unnecessary they have said so. I know they're not cheap, but our other dog went to Dunelm vets at Gilesgate and they weren't cheap either, none of them are. You have to accept when you get a pet that there will be bills to pay. Our experience at Durham Vets4Pets is of vets doing their utmost to get our dog well again. The vet had to come out on Monday to perform his last kindness, and he was lovely and treated our dog with compassion and dignity as well as absolute professionalism. There has been no issue over payment for his last bill, we've just to attend to it when we collect his ashes. I would definitely recommend anyone to take their pet here and know they would be looked after.

My dog Alfie had a lump on his leg. There is cancer in his doggie family and I was worried. I sent a request for an appointment. I was called within 2 hours for an appointment time just 2 hours later the same day. I was greeted immediately by very friendly staff. Alfie was seen within ten minutes of the arrival. The vetenary nurse was great and also got a second opinion from a vet also. The lump turned out to be just a wart. I waited to see what I needed to pay and was advised no charge which I was surprised at but great full. I will now use vets4pets Durham for all of my pets needs. The reception area and the consultation Room were very clean and organised. Thank you for a great first visit.

I had read up about this vet before I visited today and the reviews were really bad but this was the only vet to have an appointment straight away so I was a little apprehensive , but from reception to seeing the vet my poorly dog was unstressed and the treatment she received was second to none , the vet was very attentive and put us all at ease , thank you so much I will now be using this practice all of the time

We have always been very happy with how our dogs have been treat and with the treatment they have received. We have always been fully informed of what the choices are, been given excellent advice and told how much everything would cost. We have always felt the prices are very good, the special offers on vaccinations for life, are excellent, and puppy plans. I would honestly recommend anyone to try Vets4Pets as we feel they are an excellent practice with great staff.

I have had dogs and other pets for over 36 years. Therefore I have used several vets over the years. However I have used this surgery for the last 12-13 years and would never change. Friendly, professional and most of all caring.

I would just like to thank the team especially Kevin and Jill for their sensitivity and help when we recently lost our much loved family pet. They made a difficult time a little easier and enabled us all to say goodbye in a dignified manner which was very much appreciated. The card sent to our home was a lovely touch and very thoughtful.

I've been taking my dog to this practice since he was a pup and he's 11 & a half now, so that's nearly as long as the practice has been operating. From day 1 they have been professional, knowledgable, efficient, friendly, polite, and kind. My dog has had a lot of health issues and I have the utmost faith in Kevin and his team to give my dog the best treatment they can. His welfare has always been put first and there is also a common sense approach which I appreciate. It's not cheap, but I'm not aware of a decent vet that is. Health care is expensive and there is no doggie nhs so it's something you have to take on board when you're making the decision to get a pet. However, I certainly never feel as I've been ripped off. If you want a service you have to expect to pay for it, and my dog has always been treated properly at this practice and that's all that matters to me.
