Today I had to face the hardest decision I have ever had to make and have my dog put to sleep. I pre booked and the practice was empty, which made it easier to go in, I then got a lady vet named Maddie who was the most comforting, respectful, nicest lady we could of wished for our family be in the hands of for his last moments. Very understanding and not the slightest patronising and was very forwarding with comfort to both us and my dog. It was a relief to see such kindness and made our visit more reassuring I made the right decision.

I ended up having to change my appointment after the vets had to move my original appointment due to an emergency case. This was no issue for me and I received exactly the same courtesy back when I had to move it again for my circumstances. Lovely people, professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them and their packages. Saves me a fortune with my adventurous Dougie, who gets into mischief all the time!

I would highly recommend vets 4 pets. They are an efficient but friendly vets practice who go out of their way to help and support you.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to the team at Grimsby vets4pets. Reception staff are lovely, polite, helpful and take a genuine interest in your pets. Their love for animals definitely shine through their work. I would like to give a special mention to Seema and Maddy the two vets have have seen and looked after my two Guinea pigs who are around 6/7 years old. Guinness who saw Seema due to suddenly losing the use of his back legs and dragging them behind him. Seema was perfect with Guinness, gave him lots of cuddles and shown genuine love towards him. He had an X-ray that showed awful arthritis due to his age, Seema went out of her way to research things for him and gave me a sample to try with him as well as a little pain relief. A few months later, Guinness is now back on his feet, walking as normal as he can (but wobbly) but he is no longner dragging them and he mooches around care free. He doesn't take the pain relief any more but has the sample every other day. He is now a very happy piggy. Thank you Seema for everything. Whiskey my other guinea, turned extremely poorly one evening. When I went to give them their veggies I noticed that he was reserved so I went to check on him and he was foaming from his mouth (obviously I was very concerned and upset), he was skinny, his eyes were dry and he just wasn't himself. No interest in food or water, yet was fine a few hours before. The foam started to have traces of blood in it so at this time I called the emergency vets, we discussed what was happening and it was decided to take him to the vets in the morning, although I wasn't expecting him to last the night. I stayed with him on the sofa, keeping him warm and giving him lots of cuddles as well as trying to syringe him water. It was Maddy that we ended up seeing and she was very concerned, he was underweight at less than 1lbs, cold, reserved and dehydrated. Maddy again, was loving towards Whiskey, giving him lots of attention, cuddles and did everything she could to look after him. She advised me to keep Whiskey warm, and gave me some recovery food to syringe feed him. It was a slow recovery but showed improvements within hours of seeing Maddy. During the weekend, I mashed up veggies to syringe him as well as his recovery fluid (he loved mashed up celery and pepper). After a few days he started to eat the veggies normally but wouldn't touch his nuggets however with lots of TLC and patience he is now weighing 1lb 11oz, running about like his normal self, eating everything including his nuggets, drinking lots and is very happy with Guinness. Thank you ladies for everything you have done for them, giving them a chance and showing them the professional care they both desperately needed. They are now two very content, greedy, squeaky piggies who have lots of life left in them.

Emailed the manager as there is too much to put on here but in small nut shell we had to put our dog to sleep due to multiple diagnoses of problems and felt no support on the night we had to say goodbye and have unprofessional and uneducated staff.

On Tuesday 18/02/2014 at 17:30 our dog Ben went to sleep for the final time. Ben was a 13 year old Great Dane bull mastiff cross breed. Unfortunately Ben went down hill rapidly, he started to toilet in the house regularly and drink excessive amounts of water. We had him at the vets a week and a half prior to him being put to sleep where he was given antibiotics to rule out an infection. Other diagnostic tests were offered, however it was decided to have Ben put to sleep due to his age and other problems he was having. I was hysterical on Tuesday but I can not fault the service we received. Ben was treated with the uttermost respect and dignity during the whole procedure. The vet was fantastic as were all the staff. I was looked after also by a member of staff. The staff at vet for pets genuinely care for both the animals and the people. I was expecting the procedure and cremation to be an extortionate amount of money but it's not at all, especially for the quality of service you receive. Although I wish Ben was still here and am devastated by his loss, I would highly recommend the service we received. Thankyou to all the staff that were working that day. I couldn't have got through it without you all.
