We want to get a breed dog that does not have a long list of health problems they are susceptible to. Interested to know what breeds of dogs vets often have

A lot of vets seem to end up with rescue dogs! However, breed-wise most vets I know go for working breeds - lots of Spaniels, Collies, and Pointers - and terriers. These are all dogs bred for a function, not an appearance, and are generally less prone to functional disorders such as BOAS. Personally I have Irish Setters... but always made sure we got health checks done before we got a new puppy!
