i was wondering if anyone has had experience with this sort of Injury ? i took Cassie to the vet this morning cause she was suddenly struck with excruciating pain last evening.... the vet told me she has never seen anything quite like this, soo is going to consult an orthopedic specialist... since all the bones in the xray look really pretty good, she believes it may be some sort of injury remodeling.... we've got her on pain pills and prednisone, while we await a more definitive diagnosis, any advice, or opinions would be greatly appreciated.....
Hello! I'm afraid that I'm going to disappoint you here, because vets have a code of practice making it unprofessional and inappropriate to give second opinions on another vets' case in this manner. However, it sounds as though your vet isn't completely sure and is therefore sending the radiographs away to someone more specialized in the area of canine orthopedics. So, when the second opinion comes ( through the proper channels ), it will be add more value than mine as I am not a specialist. Referral sounds like an excellent path to choose and we look forward to hearing how you get on.
