I first noticed this lump with a scab on it a few days ago. The scab is mostly gone but the mass is still there. He doesn’t seem to be in any pain when I touch it. The last picture is pointing to the location
Lumps with scabs on can occur due to any number of causes. Four of the most common are:
1) A wound, with swelling. However, usually the swelling goes down faster than the scab
2) An insect sting or bite. This would seem to fit, but there are other possibilities.
3) An abscess or infection - but this would usually be painful.
4) A mass or tumour of some sort.
I'd be inclined to get it checked by your vet - sooner rather than later if it seems to be growing or changing in any way.
