Hello!  If a vet is treating a condition and it gets worse, rather than better, it is a good idea to contact them to ask what may have happened and, if they are unsure, to ask what further investigation is needed.   Perhaps the underlying problem became worse despite, or in very rare cases, because of, the treatment. Most medications should contain a data sheet, which would provide more information but we would advise contacting your vet or their emergency equivalents for more information in the first instance.

The exact same thing has happened to my 10 year old dog. She was healthy and had no hearing issues whatsoever. She was super alert and could hear a nail drop. Ever since the  Osurnia was given at the vet, she has gone completely deaf. We went from a little ear infection to deaf in a matter of minutes after this treatment. Vet says it’s possible with older dogs and may or may not return. We’re praying for her hearing to come back. Has this happened to anyone and their hearing returns?

Hi sheilaa25 and roach - my dog also went deaf from Osurnia. Did you dogs get any better? I'm panicked and heartbroken.  It's been 3 weeks since she had the medication.
