Hello! Allergies wouldn't be at the top of my list for what little I know about your dog's signs here, unless you've been giving him a dose of antihistamines for the nose, which in turn made him sleepy. Even then, a runny nose isn't a particularly common sign of an allergy in pets in the first place.
My first reaction would be to see your vet to rule out the more serious possibilities, including respiratory infection or cardiac problems; I realise that it's the weekend, but if you need help to guage how urgently you are seen, you can always speak to your vets' emergency team for assessment.
