Hello! It's lovely to hear that the breeder has called you, told you about the murmur and cares enough to want to make sure that everything is OK before they sell you the pup. It is worth passing on your appreciation. Sometimes puppies are born with an incidental heart murmur that completely resolves and as far as I understand it, this doesn't predispose them to heart disease later on in life. Sometimes of course, there is more going on. Furthermore, sometimes the very breed of dog predisposes them to heart disease in later life, so that's worth considering (I obviously don't know the breed here), but almost every breed has a predisposition to something. However, what's important sounds to be what's going on in your dog; it can be helpful to ask for the notes from the scan - including future prognosis - to be emailed to you.
