My mom has had her for about 10 years. The lump has been growing abnormally fast. She's a mixed and was gifted from a family friend. So she's not registered or has pet insurance. I've been told that she's most likely going to need surgery but she hasn't seen a vet yet. Are there any Vet assistance programs that are affordable that you guys may know of?
Hello - and I'm afraid that I would be worried about this without even looking at the picture, given that about half of mammary lumps in female dogs are cancerous. I'm not sure which country you are in but the PDSA in the UK (People's Dispensary for Sick Animals) may be prepared to help (they base it on the benefit scheme and have to see certain documents) as may various other charities. Your local vet will know the places in the area and, depending on your circumstances, may be able to point you in the right direction.
Meanwhile, a vet appointment to start to stage this lump and get some appreciation of the urgency would probably be a good idea.
Best of luck
