This may help to explain why your vet has made the choice that they have made. However, I know nothing about your dog at this time. Who are the 'people' you mention and on what basis have they decided that Vetmedin would be appropriate for your dog? Sometimes medication practices do move faster than the data sheets, so if you have reason to doubt anything that your vet has told you, I would always recommend going back to them and double checking. Some drugs companies provide a lot of client resources and will be happy to answer questions about how the algorithm above was arrived at and whether it is still likely to be appropriate to your dog.
